Snooker thread

Hendry conceding the 2nd frame there against Walker when 30 points down on the green, I'll never get my head around that.
Weird thing about him is he was initially a good safety player. Now he makes out he hates safety and never plays it.
Ronnie was smart enough to realize he needed safety if he was going to be a proper contender.

I get it when he was playing long matches and world number 1, but here it was a best of 5 match where he basically needed 2 snookers, or one 5 point snooker and the colours, crazy not to play on in those circumstances. He just stayed in his seat.

Just picking up his appearance money it seems! His "comeback" has been weird as well. Wouldn't be surprised if he is just desperate for cash as he has certainly not been taking it very seriously.
If you actually look at his early technique it was very fluid. He was coached to incorporate a pause into his backswing and I wonder if that is what led to his problems in consistently striking the ball? He should have stuck with his natural technique if you ask me.

Every single top player plays with a big pause in the back swing, except mark Allen, it’s the modern way

He was 2-0 down in quarters 3-0 in semi and 4-2 down in final, ultimate master of brinkmanship, plus Jimmy’s arse dropped out again 😂

For a 60 year old Jimmy was playing some great snooker, two 130+ breaks in the event and scoring heavily once he got in.

Think he said playing two matches a day just caught up on him and he ran out of steam in the final.
