Harbour.Harbour or Quayside?
Had fish and chips from there a few weeks back and the MiL got me two beanies for me dinner next day. I’ve got nowt bad to say about amble. Lot of money being invested there over the last few years.Me and My bairn loves them. I can bring you one Friday night if you want. Might be cold. Mint get one the morn night for myself
37 ffs!!37 priors and the judge says it's been terrible for them having the accusation hanging over them, but no GBH record so you can walk out of the court after pleading guilty to a hate crime? Somewhere higher up surely that is raising eyebrows. Imagine if it had been racial rather than xenophobic - yet much the same principles.
Which pub was it in?Nah, I was with some mates, happened whilst I was getting a round in at the bar.
The only time anything like that happened in the roughly 4 years I lived there like.
God I love them beanies. I might have get myself one the day. Wish you’d never said nowt, I’m trying to lose weight and my will power is shiteHad fish and chips from there a few weeks back and the MiL got me two beanies for me dinner next day. Should all 4 have been imprisoned? The fatha had 37 previous convictions and the son had already previously abused the bloke so a custodial sentence should have been the only course of action man
It seems only two were prosecuted...but....you say they'd do it again. They might do it again but to do so would gain them a long custodial sentence which they would deserve.Cowards should have been jailed. Simple as that. Their employers should have released them as well. If they had been in my employ at the time they would not have been afterwards.
Whatever was said, by whoever, 4 on 1 is nothing but cowardly. Folk who do that will, in my opinion, have done it before and will again.
Scum.
CheersUsed to work with a bloke from there. Full family of die hard mags. Three of them are in jail for three separate racially aggravated assaults
I’d nuke the shithole me
We wanted rid of you reallyI do live in alnmouth. From amble originally but moved here after my marriage ended. Never looked back
Harbour everyday of the week but mind Quayside has come a long way, definitely got better over the years!Harbour or Quayside?
My mothers surname can be traced back to the 8th century Sunderland area and my dad was from east sleekburn they lived around the alnwick area since the late seventies!
It is especially since surnames were introduced to Britain by the Normans in 1066.Wow. 8th century. That’s amazing mate
you don't half talk some shite mind. if it was the other way round i'd wager your viewpoint would be the total opposite.Should all 4 have been imprisoned?
The damage is minimal and the bloke says he's lost confidence.
So who goes to jail? The 62-year-old or his son or both or all 4?
I say they got a fair sentence based on the info given.
They were charged.
They had to wait 2 years to get a fair trial.
They were likely told they could get a custodial sentence well before the court so had to live with that hanging over them. I'd say a sentence in itself.
As I said before. 18 months in prison suspended for 2 years and ordered them both to do 200 hours of unpaid community work...a curfew and also £500 each compensation to the victim.
That's two convicted out of 4.
What part did the others play?
The two got a fair sentence.
You say a custodial sentence after all of that so what sentence would you think would be fair?
It seems only two were prosecuted...but....you say they'd do it again. They might do it again but to do so would gain them a long custodial sentence which they would deserve.
In this case, it says 4 but only two dealt with unless I'm missing something.
I agree 2 onto 1 or 3 or 4 or 5...whatever... is cowardly.
Violence in itself is not to be tolerated but there has to be a fair setup for the actions and I think this was a fair punishment.
But that's just the thing. I'm not even judging any of that from a football rivalry perspective.you don't half talk some shite mind. if it was the other way round i'd wager your viewpoint would be the total opposite.
do you not think an unprovoked attack should lead to a custodial sentence? most of your post is concerned with the attackers and not the victim. you can't just go around attacking people, dregs of society. But that's just the thing. I'm not even judging any of that from a football rivalry perspective.
If that had been anyone I'd stand by what I already said which is me thinking that punishment was basically fair for what it was.
If that very same thing happened and the person injured was a Newcastle fan then I would not change my stance on what I deemed as fair punishment.
Generally, yes but there are circumstances.do you not think an unprovoked attack should lead to a custodial sentence?
I'm not concerned about the attackers. I said they deserved what they got and the punishment was fair, in my opinion.most of your post is concerned with the attackers and not the victim.
I totally agree and I do not condone it one iota.you can't just go around attacking people, dregs of society.
what circumstances, supporting another set of stripes?Generally, yes but there are circumstances.
I'm not concerned about the attackers. I said they deserved what they got and the punishment was fair, in my opinion.
I think the victim got his reward.
I totally agree and I do not condone it one iota.
If I condoned it I'd offer a teet for tat drinking argument that got out of hand but I don't think of it like that. The injured party deserved justice and I believe he got it.
Can you tell me what you think should have happened?
Length of the sentence...etc?
You obviously think a custodial sentence for this is deemed necessary. Ok, fair enough. How long in your opinion?what circumstances, supporting another set of stripes?
what should have happened is a custodial sentence. how long is up to the courts.
like i said, that would be up to the courts. you obviously have different morals to most of the rest of society. You obviously think a custodial sentence for this is deemed necessary. Ok, fair enough. How long in your opinion?
I think the sentence they got was a much bigger deterrent than a custodial sentence unless you're thinking of banging them up for many years.
How long ?
What would you deem acceptable for what you read in terms of the length of the sentence?like i said, that would be up to the courts. you obviously have different morals to most of the rest of society.
Six month imprisonment all night. Fuck suspended sentences, tags, curfews and community service, all these equate to (in the criminal world) as “I got off”.You obviously think a custodial sentence for this is deemed necessary. Ok, fair enough. How long in your opinion?
