It's all relative. Bury fans or Bolton fans would say what have Sunderland got to whinge about.
You can be unhappy with your situation whatever it is. Just because there's somebody worse off doesn't mean you can't be unhappy.
A millionaire with a lovely wife and mansion and smart car will probably still be unhappy with some things in his life.
Arsenal are better off than most clubs but i understand their fans frustration at "only" finishing top 4 every year under Wenger. They wanted better. They wanted to challenge for the title. Now wenger has gone they're worse off but that doesn't mean they were wrong to want more at the time

It's all relative aye. Khoshoggi's wife would swap places with a Bury fan if it meant she got her husband his life back

Good manager, good signings in January. The amount of dosh this lot will spend in the summer will be obscene. Going places unfortunately.

Years ago? Which club was owned by a murderer before? It's only a few months since the Premier League broke its own rules and let a country own a club. Egged on by a corrupt primeminister who has been shown to be a compulsive liar.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, various others. Abramovic shouldn't have ever got near it. The rules should've been tightened long ago. But football loves money and money corrupts. Germany has it right. Loads of bad owners or bad people (or both) have found their way into football.
But that's how it is and has been for years. Qatar have a world cup. Russia should never have had it either. But we all go along with it. If we really cared we'd stop watching altogether.
Mag in club said they would be second over last fourteen games and all teams spend £95 million in January window.
Not all teams spend £95m but the first part is probably correct. Only Liverpool have more points in 2022

Well and truly.......sportswashed!

Saying sportswashed is fine. It's the buzzword. But which bits of that do you disagree with? I mean I'm actually saying the Saudis shouldn't be involved in football. But they are. So if I'm saying they shouldn't be in football how is that being sportswashed?

You are totally sportswashed and you know it.

If you think the Saudis are so bad,why do you still go to the games?

Because i can divorce the actions of the owners from the club. The club existed before them owning it. It'll exist after them.
As i said a few pages ago, my old man has supported Newcastle over 70 years. He's never supported the actions of Saudi Arabia, whether that's the war against Yemen, or forbidding women from driving (although the way my mother drove, I'm not so sure), stonings, capital punishment or whatever else. For about 70 years he just supported Newcastle United. He still does. It doesn't mean since October 2021 he is a terrorist sympathiser or hates Yemen or any of that.

People support their club, through generations of their family. They can disagree with the owners while still wanting the club to do well.
You don't have to renounce your support of the club if you don't like the owners.
