Mind, it's not just the new lads who've done well since Howe came in. Joelinton is much better than the player we saw under Bruce, still can't shoot for shit, but his contribution to the team is massive now. Shelvey is actually putting in a shift. Krafth doesn't look like a joke any more.

The away performances and results at West Ham, Southampton, Brentford and Leeds were probably as good as the home wins.

That's the thing though all these clubs at the bottom half can beat each other on a given day. There's not much between the bottom half teams quality wise. All can be awful in a few game spell and all are capable of winning a few games.

The premier League has always been like this.

I realise this is wishful thinking sir however i have a feeling they will spend big in summer.

Rumour is that the regulations will be changed to match the new UEFA ones. Clubs will be able to spend up to 70% of revenue on football costs, but that has to cover both wages and net transfer spend. Sponsorship deals will be subject to a fair value assessment, and only that will be allowed to count to the revenue figure. That will shackle them quite nicely.

Theres certainly not much in it from around 7th down, which is why I really think we can finish top 8 next season. It's very much possible I reckon.
I was more highlighting that whilst Everton / Spurs were indeed poor away performances, we have in fact played very well away from home also this year.

It really won't. As has been proven, time and again, the clubs with big money always find a way to cheat the system.

Time will tell what the true intentions are. They could have easily made offers clubs couldn’t refuse in January but they didn’t.

How come Everton have had to stop spending this season?

You can push the boundaries but you can only do so much before you have to adhere to the rules.

I think the owners current behaviour makes me think something is way off with all this. Seems quite short term for the minority stakeholders anyway.
