I don't think hand on heart you can say it was all part of some big master plan!

Fans can pretend as much as they want but EH was never first choice - in hindsight it doesn't matter. Likewise with the players. If Botman/Carlos signed they don't get Dan Burn. If Lingard/Donny sign they don't get Bruno. If Ekitike signs they don't get Wood. It is miraculous that all the signings have worked out but it is not by great planning it was down to chance.

As a fan are the performances that much better? Clearly the results and atmosphere are. Possession doesn't win games but it would be foolish to imagine conceding the ball 60% of the time will get you top 6.

I’m not sure of the logic here given we tried to sign Lingard after we’d already signed Bruno and tried for Ekitike after we’d already signed Wood. There are a number of articles detailing the plans that were implemented in the Jan window, it certainly wasn’t by chance.

And yes, the performances are a million miles better than what they were under Bruce:lol: The first half last night in particular was fantastic.

Sportswashed ☝️

Disappointed?.....Probably, yes....but, only if we were challenging at the time and got pipped as we did under Keegan.
As you'll know, with great strides or the promise of them comes bigger expectations. It's the nature of the beast.

Take a look at Maxi. One minute he's a revelation and when his magic doesn't look so magical he's crucified by some. Does he deserve it?.... It depends on how it's looked at in terms of how far we come when having a sort of resurgence and then a blip that features mistakes by him and others, yet he stands out because of his fantastic ability which is expected all of the time by some.

The same goes for the entire team as we build.
This run creates upward expectations and defeats and a drop-down will create a bit of discontent and nitpicking.

Next season will hold nothing but higher expectations for some. Likely a minimum top 8 finish but for some, it'll be a quick run for champions league place or at worst a Europa.

It's a bit mad but we all do it when something's offered above the accepted norm.

What do I expect?
I don't expect anything other than not playing in a relegation place and enjoyable football in the main.
What I hope for is a massive push for the higher echelons against the elites.
Why?
What's good for the Goose in this sporting corruption. I'm sick of playing second fiddle to the devil, I want us to play that fiddle hard and play it at it's own game. It's a sad state of affairs but I think most would take that setup if offered.
You have the worst owners of all ! Murderers of children, beheading ‘criminals’, child marriage, gay stoners. You have the devil now but you begged for him I suppose

The ones at spurs and Everton were superb

Thanks for the detail. But you have to admit that every signing hitting the ground running is incredible?

I am not ruling out EH being a genius btw but whereas the average points per game in the prem for possession of 39% is only 0.82 (and likely relegation) he is getting 1.48 ppg from that possession. That and the signings all hitting the ground running tell me he is either a fantastic manager or is having a run of luck that will inevitably die out. You hope the former .... we all hope the latter :)

The games they've won lately have all been winnable home games which tbf they've won them which is easier said than done but the 2 away games they've been awful Everton and spurs. They've got a few tougher games coming up now. They've never went to Chelsea and battered them like Brentford did.

Probably not but the Ukraine war and sanctioning of Chelsea and the recognition of the blatant sports washing of these disgusting regimes means they're in the spotlight.

Just try to get your head around the mass murder inflicted on Yemen by the Saudi butchers.

That will be the UK/US supported Saudi campaign in Yemen, hence why nothing will happen

Can't be a bit of both? He's a good manager and we've been fortunate that the signings have done well?

Mind, it's not just the new lads who've done well since Howe came in. Joelinton is much better than the player we saw under Bruce, still can't shoot for shit, but his contribution to the team is massive now. Shelvey is actually putting in a shift. Krafth doesn't look like a joke any more.

Out the sewer are we?

You rate almiron so your opinion on footballers is worthless tbh as you're absolutely clueless
