Northern trains

Those cheap tickets only appeared to be available via certain websites and were Mon-Thurs only. Nowt more than a govt publicity stunt
When I’ve looked at local journeys you can get a lot of cheap (£1.50) one way tickets. But looking to come back it’s full price 😂

So you don’t end up saving anything at all as a normal one way ticket is £1 less than a return!

Have Northern changed the timetable for trains home? Has anyone managed to catch the 17:02 before after the match?

17:02
17:30 GC
18:01

I'm sure there was a 17:50 to Stockton before?

Northern spoiling us northbound today with 4 carriages on the
10:31
11:31
12:31
From Middlesbrough

However only 2 coaches heading back down after the game. Think I'll hop on the Grand Central instead.

All as per real time trains

I used to leave the ground at 4:45pm to ensure I got the 17:02 back to H/pool, but if Grand Central are running at 17:30pm then I can stay until the full time whistle, and still get to the station on time for my GC train, to H/pool.

We’d always get the 1801 leave right on full time quick pint in Witherspoon’s

train home sorted be home for 2000

17 mins to get from the ground to Sunderland station.
Where's your seat, Beacon of the Light?
Google maps has the walk as 17 minutes from West Stand. Plus there’s usually a little delay where you have to walk slow under St Peter’s Metro due to crowds.
