Netflix Hints At Password Sharing Crackdown As Subscribers Fall

Too many streaming services now. Pay for Netflix and get some decent stuff the odd exceptional show that you probably can't constantly rewatch and loads of old stuff from BBC and channel 4 or pay for Amazon prime which is cheaper gets stuff delivered next day and does a decent job at streaming films / shows.

Cancelled my account years ago because a massive percentage of the stuff I was watching at the time was British stuff I could watch for free elsewhere, anyway. Never missed it.

Same here, I'm happy to keep Amazon, and Disney for the kids. But Netflix is going the journey. As is Sky. My bill is going up from £75 to £115, so they tell me. I can cancel from next week, so I shall be doing just that.

Now I can justify paying £15 per month if you can share it with the family, especially when the kids are using it around there anyway. But for a single house no thanks, especially when theres alternatives
Did their share price drop 23% last night? They’re finished man long live the fire stick
Erm where do you think they get some of the content from man 😂. Think about it

Turned to shite years ago when other services started removing content. Prime is much better.
Yeah. When I cancelled mine it was because I was finding that a lot of the stuff I was interested in watching was just BBC or ITV stuff that was free by downloading their apps or clicking the red button anyway.

Most of the decent American stuff I’d be interested in either got pulled years ago when other apps and streaming services got released or was never on their to begin with, and what was left was fairly crap.

Does anyone still use Netflix..?
Yes, they have some fantastic content. Top Boy is excellent and Better Call Saul has just started again.
There's a lot of utter guff on there as well but there's enough to keep me interested.
I don't watch a lot of Prime but as part of the wider deal it is good value for money.
Apple TV+ is upping its game regarding quality content.
Disney+ had Get Back but very little else I'm interested in.
iPlayer still by far the best streaming service out there.

I struggle with Prime tbh. Few good things but can’t match Netflix on their interface alone. It is horrendous.
Prime's interface definitely isn't as good, but I much prefer it overall since its cheaper and you get a lot more than just streaming with it. It's the only one I can justify using all the time. Disney plus (mainly for the bairn) and Netflix are maybe on one or two months a year, quickly watch whatever I haven't seen yet and bin them back off. Last time I got Netflix was when people were going on about squid game and I wanted to see what it was like. Hadn't used Netflix in about a year prior and thought there might be loads of new stuff of interest. Instead I watched squid game and a couple of other things then couldn't justify keeping it on for a second month. I'll watch the last season of walking dead on Disney but they're releasing it in 3 batches so I'll just wait till its all been released and put it on for a month then cancel it again

Too many streaming services now imo, all expecting you to pay £10+ a month and none of them, in terms of streaming programmes alone, justify it

Or just download iPlay or 4 on Demand and watch those shows for free, anyway. And for much older stuff that isn’t on there, BritBox has a massive selection of shows on it, for about £5.99 per month.

But for a single household, you'd just get the basic package for £5

Part of the appeal of Prime is that you get free next day delivery on Amazon stuff though, so if I was given an either/or choice between that and Netflix I’d just choose Prime anyway and consider a bunch of shows and movies to watch and the odd Premier League game a nice little bonus.

£6 and only 480p isn't it? Still think it's mental that companies try and charge a load extra for full HD

You get a £1 knocked off if you get it as a Sky add on. But aye that's just for SD.

Paying extra for a better picture is just a waste IMHO, especially as age is impacting on my eyesight anyway
