Forthcoming gigs.

I was in there last night and there’s not a great lot of posters etc for forthcoming gigs. The cluny have everything plastered everywhere as an example.
Not a criticism as I love what pop recs do but yeah could definitely shout louder about what’s happening

I was going to bring it up to them in 'so what's the best way to find out about your gigs as I've not seen much online etc' type of way. Hopefully if a few people ask it'll give them a kick up the arse
I think they misread my question!

FB says Bug Club 8.00, Eggs 9.30. Other bloke in the middle.

Oh I didn't know there was three bands, only seen it advertised (what little I have) as support from bug club. Never heard of 'other bloke' though, any good?

Rob 'other bloke' Auton. Nee idea.

Of course! (?)

If you want somebody to discuss the match with look out for 2 old 4-eyed codgers near the bar.

Can just imagine everyone in the venue fitting that description and before the first band are on I'll have got hoyed out for accosting locals

they did get back to me earlier in the week when i messaged them about tickets. they seem canny random though, facebook seems to be their only website and they don't even have the gigs listed on there so fuck knows how you're meant to find out whats going on there. i dunt even remember wheere i found out about tonights gig from, possibly on here
I find knowing about upcoming gigs a right chew on
By the time you find a good site or the crack comes out it’s been and gone
At one time you had sounds or the chronicle was pretty good
These days information is scattered all over

Especially if you've gone round everybody saying 'Hi, I'm twisted'.

Liking the venue though, and the beers.

Fuck me. What a great gig..can't wait to get back, great place, great beers, met some lovely people, the bug club were so lovely anarl. Deffo going to see them at Cluny even if it's on me own. Can't wait tbh

Couldn't agree more! Coming after another late winner (and a sneaky £5er on Flanagan to score @ 20/1) I couldn't have asked for much more. Enjoyed the other bloke as well.

Pleased to see Chris/Prancey Dog checking out the venue for some future shows. He has put on some of my very favourites in skunksville over the years.

Just noticed it's him putting Bug Club on at the Cluny....

Saw this on the wall in Pop Recs. I can safely say I've never seen any of them before except for the Wave Pictures who I've seen about 10 times and thoroughly recommend.

Oh, and Grace Petrie at a Corbyn benefit.

really appreciate this offer btw. in the end had bit crack with those around us, chatted to the bug club for a while (they were so nice) and bumped into a lad from work and his mates. let us know if you're going there in future though, i don't have alot of gig buddies and gan to quite a few on me own, certainly looking to make up for lost time with covid and that.

definitely going to see the bug club when they're back at cluny in november. and smoove and turrell are playing pop recs later in the year anarl, probably the same day knowing the way the world works

Were there many there at Pop Recs last night?

Venue was pleasantly full, not uncomfortably though. Saw earlier in the day that there were still a few tickets available on the door but I'd be surprised if they hadn't sold them. Anyone know what their official capacity is?
