Walking around the ground today even though the weather was decent it felt like it was mid winter with the club shop boarded up and various seating and flooring stacked up behind the stands. The ground is a tip, I mentioned this yesterday. I'm not sure what people have been doing over winter to be honest. Heard a few people mention this today along with the stream issues yesterday. Still not received one of our membership cards and was told it hasn't been processed and it will be done next week and ready to be collected next week, so we have to use last season's card tomorrow. All seems seems a tad poor and I hate to say that but the state of the ground is unacceptable and where the blame lies I'll leave to others to decide. I like to shout about the good things the club do, but I only think it's fair to share what I deem to be negative aspects also. As for the cricket today, it was a very difficult watch from the start of the day and I'm still narked we didn't get that bonus point this morning. I left with about 6 overs to go and I'm surprised I lasted that long to be honest, ground was almost empty by this point. The quality of the wicket needs to be questioned, that won't get people in to watch county cricket.
Not sure what to make of the wicket I sat in front of the media centre for the morning session and it looked like a typical Riverside wicket and thought Rushy in particular would knock them over especially with the overhead conditions. Perhaps it's just me not giving Leicestershire enough credit but it never looked like happening.
Red telephone maybe right that the wickets at the pavilion side are flat and dead.
