Durham seem to be encouraging him down that line. Trying to get him a UK passport, on grounds of residency and English ancestry.

I also expect SA is harder to get picked because of increased competition and quotas and he'd be practically guaranteed an England game, with the state of the batting.

Fun fact: he's got the triple century for Kent, their highest first class score since WW2 (318 v Glamorgan in 2017).

He was absolute dogshit when he first arrived but seemed to get a real boost of confidence in the RLC last season.

Lees was poor at first before picking up under Franklin. Reflects well on our coaches.
 
Very off topic but I’ve boticed Emirates have shuffled off. Proper end of an era stuff that.
