Is this the same as the £200 'grant' I heard someone discussing on a money prog on the radio that every house is to receive - but everybody has to pay back in a couple years?
So if you were in a HMO with 3 others - the CT payer would receive it but a few years down the line all 4 sharers (if they've moved onto their homes) would have to pay it?

I haven't received any communication about this; have Sunderland council engaged online / social media about when they're expecting to pay? Or anyone have any insight apart from them having until September?

No, that's the upcoming £200 energy "loan" in October.

Just filled it in for me mam as she doesn't do direct debit, seemed simple enough to do. She will just have to wait now to see when she gets the £150 rebate.

They have put £170 in my bank account this morning, confused why there is an extra £20 on top of the £150.

It’s a strange feeling receiving this. I’m 40 and this is probably the first money I’ve received without earning it, it’s a mixed feeling of
1)like it being my birthday,
but mainly:
2)feeling guilty because I haven’t earned it.
