He is playing backs to the wall football. Since Watford at the start of the year they have scored 15 goals, 4 of which from a free kick (one deflected), 1 OG and 1 pen...just 9 from open play. Of those 9, 7 were against WHU, Brentford, BHA and Soton. Fair play for those 4 great results that really took me by surprise. Take the deflected free kick out, the spill by Pope and they would be on 28 points. Absolutely deluded to think he is some kind of saviour when he has the second worst possession in the league. At least we have these posts for when they call for his head at the start of the season. He has had huge luck, all signings worked out. Eventually your luck runs out.

Some excellent points raised in this post. If you don't count all the goals we have scored, then we haven't scored any goals. That puts us right back in trouble. I am concerned now.

FWIW I don't think many fans are saying we arent obsessed with NUFC on here.. its hard not to be when a hideous regime has set up camp just next door.

Do find it weird that there's a continued obsession from the richest club on the planet to a so called "small third division club"

But there are those among you who post relentlessly in here about how disrespectful the local news is about you, or how some mackem talked the ear off randoms about Newcastle United on his holiday. Or the bloke who tweets on a daily basis about us to his 30 odd followers, then posts that tweet on here.

There will always be people on both sides who're obsessed with the other, there'll also people on both sides who have varying degrees of interest in the successes and failures of the other.

NUFC fans are bi-polar - the good times are incredible but the less good times are the worst ever and they deserve more.

Do you mean me, or do you mean the Newcastle fan base as a whole? I think I take more of an interest in this message board than the overwhelming majority of Newcastle fans. But even I don't know exactly where you are in the league (Play off spots?), who your players are, what the possession stats are and so on. And I honestly don't care. I browse this board (and this thread specifically) because it's genuinely funny how much some of you will whip yourselves into a state about us.

There've been clearly made up stories about the 'Mag at Work' insisting something like we'll sign Mbappe, or Howe should win Manager of the Year, or Newcastle will win the league in 5yrs (or whatever), followed by pages of posts calling that made up Newcastle fan a deluded ****. It's objectively funny to watch the self-induced meltdowns.

The reason there's a twitter account dedicated to finding the ridiculous stuff on here, is because there's a lot of stuff on here worthy of ridicule. For balance, there's plenty of normal stuff on here and plenty of ridiculous stuff on other boards about other clubs too.
