Surely it's part of the sportswashing thing though? You know,we are pointing out how evil their owners are,and how the mags are being sportswashed ,to make their actions more palatable. We are just pointing out one of their owners hideous traits. You should be having a go at mad snivel, and the likes, who say they condone it.
I certainly agree with you mate..its just the whole paedophilia thing that turns my stomach

April fools surly?

I don't think it's April fools, just regurgitated clickbait.
Caught Offside are reporting on a story from Sport Witness which is in turn reporting on a story from L'Union.
The caught offside one is the third account of it. Probably just L'Union trying to drive traffic, but who knows? Might be true. I'm doubtful though.

Good article that.
It's exactly what is happening.
Nufc lgbtq and others said the best way to get this regime to change and commit less human rights atrocities was to engage with their owners. However the exact opposite is happening and they are defending and highlighting whataboutery everywhere.
The vast majority like @mad cyril are totally sportswashed.
Cash, and the potential success that it helps to bring, is more important to the vast majority of football fans, yeah.
Did you honestly think differently?
This is bullshit.
What a horrible disgusting way to think that most football fans would defend human rights atrocities for a few signings of players.
Fuck me, you're absolutely mental.

Its fine, as he's buying Newcastle some new players, so f***ing children is ok.
That's far more important (said @mad cyril ) then abusing children.
And who are we to question what is the abuse of children in another country.
Children may like getting fucked by evil dictators over in the KSA

It shows you just how easy humans can be manipulated, look at what Putin's done to his country.

Yes but Putin does it by force and manipulation of facts to persuade his people that things are ok. The Saudis have had to do fuck all to get the Orcs to support them other than wave 💰 💰💰💰💰 they have not had to be duped by fake news, they’ve simply decided to ignore the truth

So there's now nearly 3 months that have passed since the NUFC supporters trust appeared to rig a vote to give £210k of mag fans money to charity. Still no sign of the money, not even an update. Are we at the point now that it can just be concluded that its been pinched?

There's absolutely no way this would be an acceptable way to look after other people's money in any other context. But as Newcastle United are involved, all normal standards of behaviour can be ignored, and their Supporters Trust can operate in the ethical black hole that the entire club now seems so comfortable with.

I posted the below 4 weeks ago about this.

I am indeed deeply suspicious about this, and have held my suspicions about that fundraising effort since the day it was started. I said as much here back in August, after observing a number of other mag fan groups attempting to rip of their fellow supporters. This was the biggest pile of money, so was always going to be the biggest potential problem area of the lot

The Supporters Trust had already disgraced themselves with a number of awful statements regarding the takeover by the time 'the pledge' was launched in April 2021. The worst was contained in the statement accompanying the petition that was signed by 130k mags, which said that MbS was an ally of the UK government and Royal family, was a human rights reformer, and was integral to the UK's covid19 response. That shows you what type of characters were in charge of this.

The first thing that struck you about 'the pledge' was what an absolutely stupid idea it was. Ashley had no obligation to sell them anything, and owning 1% of the club would give no influence over anything anyway. So anybody could see that any money raised would never be used for its intended purpose, and to my mind there were serious questions about the character of the people overseeing it. It also wasn't a 'pledge' as its name suggested - the money wasn't pledged - the trust were actually holding it.

In January they announced that there was no point in it anymore, and they would be voting on what to do with the money, with their preferred option being to give it to charity. Why vote on it? Surely its obvious that if it isn't going to be spent on what it was raised for, then it should just be returned to the donors - they can donate it to charity if they want.

Some of your fans complained that there was only about 2 days to vote, they were only notified via one email, and if they weren't in the trust then they were never even contacted. Unsurprisingly the outcome was to give it to charity. Not the worst outcome, but the way it was handled would make anyone suspicious.

Since then there's been nothing - not even an update in nearly 7 weeks. Where is the money being held? How much interest has it gathered? What was done with that interest? A holiday for the leading Trust members? Has someone blown it all feeding a gambling addiction? No one knows.

Now it seems that a very obvious opportunity to donate to a worthwhile cause has passed without comment from the trust. More and more people will draw their own conclusions the longer this goes on.

It looks likely that yet again we will be forced to conclude that some Newcastle United supporters with a public profile will have behaved absolutely disgracefully, in full view of everyone, and yet again it is just going to be accepted because the behaviour is linked to the football club.
