People who aren't renewing

I have gone and renewed for next season because I am 23 mile away instead of 180 and at £235 for an over 65 is probably ok for what is going to be served up.The wife will have the heating on when I am at the match so no savings there but you can't win them all.

I've only missed 2 home games in the last 5 seasons. Not because I'm loyal or a happy clapper but because I live local and don't have a huge amount else going on in my life.
If I could walk away and not care anymore I'd probably consider packing it in but if I didn't go I'd just be stuck at home on here or listening on the radio. I get paid tomorrow. I probably renew Friday but fair enough to those who don't. Absolutely no judgement here.

Different conversation mate if it’s taken away from you altogether.
Makes you look at it so differently and can only hope you don’t face that dilemma (don’t think you ever will).

I think conversations will be happening among our supporters up and down the nation, a cost of living crisis coming at full speed it will come down to this Heat or Eat or going to the match, that’s when fear and self interest takes over, lots of football clubs will get a shock I reckon.

Exactly. Very odd packing in just because of who has a part share in the club. In fact I’ve only ever talked about the owners on here. Mates and family never mention it.
I don’t know any who isn’t renewing due to the owners. A few I know aren’t because it’s absolutely shit in league one.

Is your wife a robot
Kind of. More inflatable

I can see why people are fed up with the football like. Thing is if I didn’t go then neither would my sons and they bloody love it regardless of the standard or the political stuff away from match days

Spot on - Hearing this at ours with cost of living rises.
Don’t worry though the Premiership players are not impacted by any of this :(

They aren't and neither are the clubs higher up the table, TV money and all that, but when it comes to this league and lower, it's basically going be in some households go to match that's fine and dandy, but when your home, you got to keep your coat on the heat off and spend less on food to eat, or bye-bye season card, and that's an extra few hundred quid a year to play with, mostly on bills but at least you won't be cold and starving hungry

If we had half decent owners we wouldn’t be in league one, we’d of got out of the league at the first time of trying.

So you've watched us under Cowie, Murray, and Short and thought they all did well?
Not under Cowie, wasn't into football a that age. My first games were under Murray when Buxton was manager and didn't really know the situation as I was only about 14 but experienced the red card waving against the board. Not long after buxton was sacked and reid was appointed. From then on under Murray/Reid I saw some of the best football with Phillips and Quinn and to this day I realise how good it was then. Yeah there were a few awful seasons but we always bounced back. Under Short good and bad times. Seen us play at a major cup final. He ploughed money into Sunderland. Can't fault him there. It was off the pitch which where it went wrong. There current owners are the worst since supporting the lads hands down. I sadly include Kyril but not to the level of Donald, Methven and Sartori. All three have screwed this club up big time. Kyril has a least apologised. The others couldn't give one.
