Could you imagine that Chelsea will kick off saying, "Hang on, MBS is as bad or worse than Putin. Why is he allowed to run a club and Abramovich isn't?" 🤔

Chelsea well supported by politicians and the mega-rich, this will put a lot of pressure on the government over the blood-soaked Newcastle United that previously they could have ignored.

I’d personally suspect the Saudis will sell it in about 10 years anyway. They’ll want to flip it at some point for a huge profit. Are they likely to be booted out or sanctioned by a government that is begging them for oil and trading billions of pounds with them in that time. Not bloody likely. Unless they do something daft and decide to invade a country with white folks in it
Why would they flip the mags for a profit? These ***** have unlimited money pretty much.

Prem to be asked about assurances Toon gave over Saudi role in club via

So that is a Tory MP Julian Knight, who is the chair of that select committee, and he is pressing the Tory sports minister for an answer, and seems to be making him a bit uncomfortable.

I was aware that SNP MP John Nicholson was on that committee, as I can recall mags abusing him online for his criticism of the takeover.

I wasn’t aware that Sunderland Central MP Julie Elliot is also a member of the committee. I’m sure she wrote a letter demanding to know why it hadn’t gone through when it looked like the plug had been pulled. Has she said anything at all about that takeover apart from that? The local Labour MPs have been worse than useless on this.

I follow PiF's very closely and few of the investments are long term. The mags go twitter this etc. but they were in and out in a short period of time. The infrastructure projects are different, likewise the Saudi stocks which would cause the market to collapse and they can't unwind the 3bn or so position in Uber easily. The mags were ridiculously cheap and I project a sale in summer 2026 likely to some other Saudi company who has been "asked" to buy them. Mandy gets her payday and the cleansing exercise is done. Not a single action so far has indicated that Mandy has an unlimited budget. They will tart things up, put planning in for new extension/training ground, say all the right things but they will sell for 1-1.5bn in 5 years.

When it looked like going through back in 2020, it was stated that the investment plan was £300mill over 5 years, inclusive of infrastructure spend. No doubt the financial condition Ashley left the club in gives them more headroom but the amount being spent on this has always been played down.

We do have double standards because in October hardly any fucker said anything other than us lot and one or two journalists, now everyone wants to jump on it. Still good to see the mags getting a kicking

Simply ignoring the question as it’s unanswerable in any decent way

w Do you not read the papers or listen to radio . Your Islam flag waving club is hated . Suck it up.

I see or hear little to be honest. Look at today, the news is full of the UK / Saudi relationship and how we’re looking to secure an oil deal, very very little on anything else NUFC related.
Plus it was rival fans I was specifically referring too who in the main have not mentioned it in the way of chants etc.

Exactly....though some don't listen and equate this to a Man City or PSG exercise. They may change strategy if there is a glimpse of a chance of that happening but get to 6th, into Europe and the club sells for 1-1.5bn, not bad for a 300m investment.

Your first match against Palace they had a banner out.

I'd imagine after that one they stopped them coming in.

You hope it bypasses the majority of football fans but it doesn't.

If it did there would be no need for the online whataboot brigade would there?

Honestly Pete, it doesn’t get mentioned or chanted about at all which has suprised me. Even outside the ground there’s been nothing from the likes of Amnesty international which again I thought they would.
