Whilst Boris and his Tory pals are supplying arms to KSA and begging them for oil there won’t be sanction. However, we’ll see how the political landscape changes the longer this conflict goes on as KSA are an ally of Russia. That’s when things may get awkward.

Quite clearly the Government have not got the balls to tackle our good friends on the Tyne, or indeed the FA. Im sure most Premier League chairmen are not happy with this situation also, so clubs should take matters into their own hands and give no hospitality a home games to anyone who does not denounce Saudi Arabia attacks on Yemen or appalling human rights - meaning the Newcastle Board. Also do no transfer business with blood money. If the collective world can make sacrifices surely the clubs can force the issue.

Saudi Arabia is less than 100 years old as a country, formed in one of the harshest environments on earth and as a result I would suggest made up of the harshest of people.

To expect a new nation, especially in that part of the world, to conform and adopt "western" standards and become a benign society like ours, that developed/matured over centuries, is preposterous.

Is what happens there awful, of course it is, by our standards, but to compare it to what we experience in the west is pure folly.

You can't just flick a switch, it took 200 years for our monarchy to finally move from absolute to constitutional, why should we expect different elsewhere. Even after our centuries of societal development we didn't outlaw the execution of minors until 1908. As Saudi was being formed 1932/33, we were administering India and at that same time, under our governance, average life expectancy in India was 28 years old, twenty fecking eight. Women couldn't vote here until 1928. In my lifetime (yeah I'm old) black people couldn't even get on a fecking bus in the USA.

We're not that great ourselves.

We have to engage and guide and mentor, not use the big stick otherwise we see what happens in that part of the world.

Saudi Arabia has been around for the blink of an eye in historical terms in its societal development.

Meanwhile in this beacon of loveliness we call the UK, we have circa 3000 foodbanks and 200-300 folks a day die of Covid due to government mishandling, at least the 81 who were executed had a fair trial according to the laws of THAT land, our covid victims not so much.

I said at the time, the collective response should have been a mass boycott of Newcastle games.

If every other club in the premiership refused to play them, then what happens.

Newcastle win the league. But it would be a hollow victory that would forever be in the history books and in quiz questions.

Fans couldn't celebrate as they'd know they hadn't won it by right
No televised games would hamper Newcastle sponsorship, no ticket sales would hurt too...

Club would struggle to offload players as well if other English clubs refused to do business with them

That would have really made it interesting. Bit late now.

Pointless trying to have a reasonable debate with them as the vast majority have already been sports washed and will not accept even a shred of any argument which isn’t pro owners and pro Newcastle.

‘not our fault who owns the club we are just fans’…..well not actively begging and finding every channel possible to get SA to buy the club might have been a start lads, possibly telling them they weren’t actually welcome 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just say you aren’t bothered about anything they do/have done because they have loads of money and you think it will buy you some mint players and some success, cos ultimately that’s the truth

They could but they won’t. If they were going to they would have done it already. Money trumps everything with these people. They don’t care if it’s dripping in blood.
