I don't agree. There was many in our fanbase talking about Eddie Howe.

Here's me in January last year saying I'd have him.

I wanted us to get absolutely battered last night. As did many others. Anything to speed up the sacking of Bruce. I really think anybody else could do better than him. Looks like he has got no idea how to change it. Hope we get stuffed off Villa as well. Any sort of good performance, or a draw...

Also the chronicle ran a poll about the time of our defeat to Sheffield United last season about who fans would want to replace Bruce. Howe came out on top.
Prompted Bruce to refer to him in a press conference as "That fella from Bournemouth who got a team relegated"

Another 6 or 7 points required. Until we've got 36 or 37 I'll not start to relax. Although obviously enjoying this run at the minute and we look like staying up but not done yet.

Edit. I think 34 might just be enough to survive this year but want to be well clear as early as possible

Yes.
They stuffed us at their place 5-0 the season before in 19/20.

Slightly more relevant they beat us 4-0 down there only four months ago.

We've won down there in May last year and in 18/19 and 17/18 but they have won every time up here going back to their title winning 15/16 season.

They are a bit worse than normal this season but can still play a bit. Not an easy game at all

We have a good cushion now but until its confirmed then it's not done. I think we will still lose half a dozen more games.
Sounds pessimistic but I think it'll be closer than it is now.

Deserved win. Just. Not a great performance, but threatening more than the opponent. Disappointing from Southampton, they looked bored and couldn't seem to give a shite.
