good sobering thread here... (i still think russia has 'lost' the war no matter how many battles they win)

Russia is losing over 100 pieces of equipment per day as per

Sadly that appears to be the case:

Got to say Macron has said some sensible things lately……….
Although Russia is quite rightly vilified lately for their actions in Ukraine, I think Macron has been sensible keeping dialogue open

In this country the government aren’t doing nearly enough to ease the humanitarian crisis
I think he’s been made to look a bit amateurish and naive to be honest, putin keeps telling him lies from these meetings, doing the opposite to what he said he’d do and buying himself more time

Not exactly disguising where they're shooting from in that video!

That tank is a long way away mind. Also have the higher ground and sideways on. But agree they look a bit exposed.

They are hit and run squads though apparently so will be constantly on the move. Their role is apparently to stalk enemy units, find an advantageous position, hit it, and then basically be away on their toes. So I’d imagine they were straight off that roof after that

But if putin is totally isolated it feeds his own erroneous narrative that’s it’s him v west. With macron engaging in diplomacy it at least shows channels for calming the conflict exists

He may well be telling macron a pact of lies but it demonstrates there’s willingness of the west to avoid conflict.

Also macron including Russia in the future architecture of European security shows there’s not a closed door to future cooperation

I had an alert from outlook earlier. I thought it was spam but it really was from Microsoft about an IP address in Russia trying to get into my account 😮

I hope they enjoy the spam about mortgage offers and women wanting to meet now 😄

UN is muted as never before in this war, what ever they propose doing Russia will veto it if they don’t like it
UN needs reformatted
Russia and China oot

I had an email from mark Zuckerberg and Jeff bezos sitting in my spam yesterday, offering £800k for my support in a financial transaction between them, knocked it back as I should have got a lot more, tight gits

Do we know why Macron is the big cheese in all these communications?

Our software picks up what users are doing on work systems. Today was a bit of a dilemma as they found one employee of a US company, a coder in Ukraine who has been using his work system to setup DDoS attacks against some Russian sites. We had to report his activity to the company as he was using their equipment which could potentially be tracked back and in turn make them a target from Russian cyber attacks. But part of you was thinking “gan on kidda”.

Well it’s because macron has been banging the drum for a scaled back NATO presence in Europe and less reliance on the USA…….obviously putin likes this idea as he clearly feels threatened by NATO (despite it never doing an incursion into Russian territory)
