Edit - if you click on the plane it changes colour - red shows the flight path throughout the flight. He's just done a loop the loop.

This one took off from RAF Mildehall and from USAF has been doing NASCAR loops over Romania. It's a McDonnell Douglas KC-10 Extender (Fuel extender) and it's now heading South.

I was reading something the other day about the Western weapon deliveries to Ukraine.

Although a lot has been made of the anti tank and air stuff they were raving about thermal optics and the guns that have been handed over. Basically light years ahead of even the best Russian stuff.

One analyst described them as basically a “cheat mode” for Ukrainian special forces

I have looked through Russian gen-2 stuff, old stuff, thermals are something else entirely 👍

I dont buy he’s mad/lost the plot. This has been developing for years. I dont buy that its to prevent the spread of NATO because even if he takes Ukraine, NATO is over the border. I dont buy this is to return to the old USSR because again sanctions will bankrupt Russia. Something is not right, why has he done this??

He does want to recreate the Russian Empire. That’s is drive. He thinks Kyiv, Chisinău, etc are Russian.

As to ‘why now’. Multiple reasons. Firstly, it is not ‘now’. He started in Chechnya m 20 years ago not long after taking over as a precursor to Georgia. Invaded Ukraine in 2014 with little push back from anyone. Russian troops entered Kazakhstan in January 2022 which barely got reported let alone criticised.

Since then it has been a combination of building forces, increasing disinformation warfare around the world, and gradually closing the media and increasing propaganda and silencing opposition in his own country.

Trump would have taken the US out of NATO and the UN had he beaten Biden, so Putin was also waiting for that. But it didn’t happen.

He had to do it before Ukraine joined NATO and the EU. Covid and energy prices causing disruption In Europe. It meant now was the optimum time.

There are then three areas of failure, not including the military failures. Firstly, he assumed the West would do nothing because we haven’t for 20 years. Secondly, his advisors are in a bubble and are too scared to say anything other than that his ideas are ambition are correct. Thirdly, he doesn’t understand digital communications and the general outlook of his young population so underestimated how much real news they can access despite bans and how prepared they are to protest despite draconian laws.

You can clearly see his hand does not go through the mic. The video from reddit has since been deleted though it's still posted in other places. If you still can't see it then slow it down to 0.25 speed.

Change the video quality to 240p and play it again and you will see the hand through the mic illusion and that's just Youtube's own compression engine at work.

Anyone know who the two women are with Putin? The one on the end looks about 16 and about to cry. She looks very uncomfortable.

He wants to gain Crimera & Donbass permanently and secure water for Crimea. And possibly Odessa and the whole southern coast at a stretch.

If you look at his face he seems to have piled the weight on.

Could go hand in hand with the cancer rumours as if he's had treatment he'll be immunosuppressed - if he's also on medical steroids that can give him a 'moon face'
