You seem a bit of a manchild to me. Be clear, the Tories willingly opened Pandora's Box with Brexit. They have caused division, strife and economic misery for many (including me). Brexit's consequences may slip under the surface from time to time, but it will keep raising its ugly head because of its continuing harm.

In other news, SLAVA UKRAINI!!
2016-2022 keep at it.

Intentions and actions are different. Without nuclear deterrent would Putin try to pile through half of Eastern Europe? Probably. Would he be any more benevolent than Hitler in those circumstances? Probably not. His actions aren’t yet as far reaching as Hitlers evil but his disregard for life and freedom is getting close.

So we agree at this moment in time a direct comparison is mute?

Opinion seems to be its hugely embarrassing the Russians haven’t yet managed to take Kharkiv. And possibly have even been hit by a counter attack.

This was supposedly their easiest target. Big city but less then 30 miles from the Russian border and where Russia pre positioned a massive amount of forces.

In theory the Russians shouldn’t have had any issues with supply or risks of being attacked from the rear as the Ukrainians wouldn’t go into Russia to do that.

Seems to be amazing it’s still contested 10 days in and if Russia hasn’t succeeded here thats encouraging as the further into the country they go the harder it gets with supplying the front and being exposed etc…

I think I’m saying he might well be just as evil because evil isn’t only based on what people do but what they would like to do given the chance. In terms of actions then the comparison is premature.

It doesn’t mean I’m a fan of putin though, I’d like to think there’s a middle ground where we can all degree that hitler is in his own bracket of evil.

You can argue all you like where putin goes on the evil scale but I won’t have him alongside hitler and I don’t think it’s contentious at all.
Where does Pol Pot fit in on your evil scale or Stalin?

Deary me

One tried to take over the Europe and was a responsible for a fairly prominent event known as the holocaust. Don’t pass this up on his cronies, it’s his ideology.

He cannot be compared with Putin and anyone doing so is a moron. There is an argument to made about where Putin belongs on the evil scale but comparing with Hitler is absolutely comical.
So, I'm a moron as well?
Hitler was a talented orator the likes of Hanussen thought useful to further their ideals - these ideologies weren't initially his, there is even a quote where the right wing aristocrats and forefathers of National Spcialism claim " we control him".
As I have said, there is a severe lack of evidence of him directly ordering attrocities (other than the Malmedy massacre). He notoriously allowed delegation of decisions.
Of course I'm not saying he was unaware but Putin is currently facing the world on camera whilst 24 hour news coverage ia showing attrocities - that, to me, is empirical evidence he is more than fully aware, if not directly responsible for these war crimes.

Said from the start this would be the case. The more the sanctions bite the more Putin will move his red line towards them and threaten the West.

Remains to be seen if the West will be steadfast.

These are doing hundreds of times more damage to him then shooting down the odd plane over Ukraine would so it’s inevitable he will start upping the ante demanding they are removed
