Having jumped first Russia has pole position. They had arguably nothing to fear as Ukraine is denuclearised and there a no binding agreement of support for Ukraine.

Wonder what would have happened had say Poland taken exception to Belarus & invaded it. Trashed Minsk etc.

Would Russia have countered even though it meant direct Nato contact?

interviewing a woman whose mother is in Ukraine , the city is been bombed right now and just hopes each morning when she wakes her that her mother is still alive

Said on here before that Baltics would be the test. Small ex USSR states that only really have strategic value. Say Putin invaded & said fuck Nato I don't care & if you defend them I'll escalate so expect nukes.

Would Nato defend?

I used to teach History mate, I know what happened in the 20s and 30s. Do you think allnof National Socialism's attrocities were directly approved by Hitler? His name appears on very few documents.
Hitler was renowed for delegating tasks and decisions.

Here's one comparison, however, Germany's Condor Legion being sent to help a Dictator inflict civilian casualties in a civil war; whilst also gaining valuable real time experience ahead of planned invasions.
Now, tell me what happened in Syria with Russia's airforce.
Not worth a comparison?

Your so hellebent on him using nukes, I don’t think he would do, he would get many back instantly the Russian generals and other people will know the consequences so will stay out of it putin wants to win, with nukes he can’t win no one can.

Nato countries and putin will be in regular contact over all this with phone calls etc.

I am no professor but you crack on with your pomposity son.

You, on the other hand have offered no explanation as to suggesting why my comparison was a lazy one (it may well be), other than mentioning Hitler's "evil". My 8 year old would use that.

So, enlighten me...
