I would imagine that they were trying to destroy the transformers to cut the electricity supply to homes. Think it supplies 20% of homes or something like that.

That's seems to be Russia's strategy. Encircle cities and cut utilities, forcing people to surrender because too many innocents are at risk of death.

Agree with what you say mind. I wouldn't trust the Russian army to find their arses with both hands never mind skillfully shell around a massive power plant. The commanders and reckless and the soldiers poorly trained.

Cannot wait till Putin dies. Hope he suffers.

Agree this seems to be a plan, and it looks like the progress they are making is towards the nuclear plants across the country.

Though encircling the natives and forcing them into surrender is hardly a good start to long term control of the country!

Agree. Although i think the implications of that would make chelsea as an entity stop. So no doubt they are allowing it to be sold instead. Im sure if it was safc they'd just finish us!!!

I'd like to think people of the UK would be the same if we were in the same situation location wise as the Germans. Our government might act differently but I'd hope the people would act the same.

What Germany and the rest of Europe (all of us) really need to do if cut the gas purchasing off, for all the good work we do if we are giving Russia hundreds of millions a week then this won't ever stop.

I’m talking about those close to him. Oligarchs keeping quiet and I’m sure thousands of others.
All of his personal praetorian guard etc. They are all culpable and it should be made clear through whatever back channels or in news outlets doing nothing is unacceptable.
I also think it may be time to call his bluff and see what happens.
Probably best I’m not in charge of USA or any other nuclear power.

I think any initial designs of holding the place are out the window. Think he is furious about how shit he has done and has resorted to, I'll show you what happens if you resist, I will flatten you instead. He army could never hold Ukraine and he now knows it.

I think a few asked questions earlier about how you could have an army the size of Russia's with the "defense" budget of Russia, we we are seeing you cannot. He has essentially sent conscripted civilians with no food or sleeping equipment.

Agree with this. The political stuff always goes over my head like which is why I stay out of the politics forum most of the time, but to me it would make sense to take the club off him, have it ran by the government or similar, and given back to him if he helps get rid of putin. The oligarchs obviously have a lot of say and a lot of power in Russia, need to be using them to our advantage in this situation

Aye the Russian’s were shelling and bombing the nuclear reactor and it caught fire, and we had to run in and sort it out. Made of different stuff these people.

Hopefully followed by shortly after Putin was taken out and we started work on rebuilding Ukraine. 🤞

I think there's plenty on our side guilt of similar. We are watching it escalate and seemingly doing little to stop it. I mean I know fck all mind so could well be talking bollocks.
