My Russian friend just seen... I will reply but anyone want to give me a good templet of what to say...

Why is Putin invading Ukraine....
Feb. 27, 2022, 12:01 a.m.
That I don't know. We are as shocked as everyone else

Tell her the reasons for the invasion were a lie
Ukraine is not anti russian, there has been no genocide on russians in the ukraine
Russia has lost over 500 pieces of military equipment and thousands of young russian men have been killed, willingly surrendered or captured:
Russia is targeting civilians housing and civilian infrastructure. there have been many civilian casualties in the Ukraine.
Russia's economy will be ruined and the country is being ostracised. even if russia 'wins' the war they will face a prolonged and difficult insurgency.

Look like they have dropped fire bombs into them in the open hatches too.

The people who document it it seems to be just video after video of the Russians abandoning vehicles. One completely destroyed here. Suggestion is the people in the other 4 vehicles thought fuck that and legged it. Who knows but they must be losing hundreds of millions each day

Vigorous use of blyat there.

They don't need pipelines. They can take it on ships, just as they take their imports now. Which much of Europe can't do in the requisite quantities.

The political aspect is the deciding factor with China.
Here's the UK's LNG terminal. It's in Milford Haven, south Wales. We've been a net importer since North Sea gas began to dry up about 15 years ago (currently about 50% of our gas and falling). The Milford Haven facility was built about 10 years ago as part of the response and mostly takes LNG from the gulf states and the US. It's still a very small % of our gas usage though. IIRC there are plans to expand Milford Haven but the big push here is into renewables, particularly wind as apparently we're best in Europe for wind (odd sounding fact but true, and that wind is now producing 25% of our electricity) thanks to the gulf stream - although climate change may stop that blowing, but that's a whole other doomsday scenario

RT isn't blocked in the UK.
It's blocked in the EU, but the satellite feed to the UK comes through Luxembourg and Luxembourg have stopped the feed to the UK because of the EU sanctions.
Fair enough, blocked on YouTube also, is that the same principle?

Believe me, I know a lot about Milford Haven.

If I recall correctly, Ukraine gets its gas from Russia as well!
In 2019 Ukraine only imported 30% of its gas. Since the annexing of Crimea it imports this from Europe rather than Russia (although the Europeans mostly get that gas from Russia in the first place!)

If you look at Figure 3 in this linked document you will see 2 main things.

1) there is a lot of gas under and in the sea off Crimea

2) there is a big gas field running from Donbas in the SE across to the NW and this is precisely where the Russian army are now sitting.

I am sure this is just a coincidence though.

Youtube is American.
They have decided to stop what they see as Russian propaganda channels from profiting from advertising on Youtube.
That's nothing to do with the UK.

Really hope this isn't true, could be catastrophic.
Would a bombing be enough to trigger anything in this circumstance. I can't say 100% but something is ringing a bell that it doesn't work that way.

Fingers crossed then, I suppose it may depend on how much damage is caused.
