You're right in pretty much every thing you say there.
I've been to war, and hated every f***ing minute.
As a result I have formed a pacifist mindset reference any kind of conflict.
However, when my family are threatened, just get out of my way, because I really have no fear gene when it comes to protecting them.
That's what the people of Ukraine are doing.

This do we let him invade x,y,z country next is cropping up on a regular basis...do you really think that he'd just carry on to the next country without stopping and trying to regroup? The difference is he's got nothing to regroup with, his economy is now fucked, he can't trade, his own people aren't happy with him, the world is against him, the world has time to get measures in place for other countries. Its just not as simple as saying he'll go here next. This will be his last hurrah, guaranteed.

I like Russia as well, and have always been fascinated with its history, culture and remoteness.

But I don’t want an autocratic ruler invading innocent democratic countries.

I hope the Russian army and Putin are annihilated. If there is a regime change in Russia and it turns back into a normal democratic and functioning economy then that is a good thing for those of us who like the country. Last thing we want is Putin to be a global pariah with travel to Russia banned.

Yes, within reason.

I've had a quick squint to catch up and there are certainly some posters who could do with a good dose of self awareness.

Tangents, even daft ones, are to be expected on the SMB, but if you find yourself engaging interminably with just one or perhaps two other members then it's probably time to stfu.

Its a shame you think that mate, its a cracking thread that covers everything, news about thats happening, peoples opinions on whats happening, peoples experiences, etc...its one of the bet threads thats been on here for a long time, massively interesting with all the good components of this message board.
 
Obviously Ukraine's allies are reluctant to attack Russia millitary wise, I would hope all the collective high rank war tactics expertise are advising Ukraine strategically
