I’m not saying that. I have family in their 80s that are tech savvy. The Russian people are no less capable than us. I know people who live and work in the area and that’s what they’ve told me. It has been backed up by some of the interviews on tv. I respect this is a small demographic mind.
Just got to look at the fact that there are protests, proves that Russians are aware of what’s going on regardless of what the state are telling them. I’d like to think that that is a pretty good barometer of the feeling within Russia.

No, it’s you that isn’t getting it.

This is political, whether you like that or not. Just take @Cow ‘s advice and get on with it.

Anyway, I thought you had me on ignore?!

Russia invading Ukraine

;)
Woah, don’t be tagging me into a conflict between you and @Harry Angstrom, that’s how wars escalate you know, I’ll sit back and watch how it unfolds before deciding if it’s worth getting involved. (See what I did there?);)

I don’t think much will happen with regards to pressure on the government until the economic sanctions really start to hit home Over there. Sadly by then Kiev will probably been flattened. Sad to say I don’t think the president will survive much longer either. Hope I’m wrong like.
I highly doubt it.

Don’t mention politcs though herra, you’ll make @Harry Angstrom cry.

So this conflict isn’t political? Is that what you’re saying?
Give over mate. He has a point. He’s wanting this to stay on topic. Nowt wrong with that. Pack it in eh?

I keep reading that Russia have miscalculated the Ukraine resolve, however I’m beginning to think that this was always part of Putin’s plan to send it a smaller more inexperienced and less violent, dare I say it sacrificial force to try and roll in to Ukraine and take control, with population, buildings and infrastructure intact.

With Ukraine’s resolve being so strong we are now seeing Putin’s Plan B to send in the heavy artillery and more experienced forces. Leads me to think that the Russians were aware of Ukraine inability to challenge its large convoys all along and that the Russian tactics aren’t quite as archaic as first thought? Clearly the UN sanctions may not have formed part of his plans.

I have no military experience nor an enthusiast so could be well off the mark, but feels like Russia maybe slightly more in control than they are being given credit for which if true is slightly more worrying.
Someone who surrounds himself with yes men will inevitably make a massive cock up, this is it, these yes men may still not be telling him what’s really occurring in Ukraine.

Ive come on every lunchtime to check what’s been happening. Today Ive had to scroll through several posts of your boring political ramblings. It’s been the best source of news since the invasion began, keep it that way.

It isn’t political, they cried:

To those crying about it, watch the video and still tell us all that it isn’t political.
Funny enough its the usual tory apologists on here who disagree with you.

The tories should be ashamed of their associations and give every grubby penny they have received off the Russians back in humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Maybe you are right I just find it hard to believe that they would have been so arrogant, particularly as I’m sure Putin was a former foreign intelligence officer in the KGB.
