Forthcoming gigs.

What’s your issue with Wylam? Mentioned in my post the geography is a twat, but the performance space & drink is great. Sound has been good so far from memory

i’ve been to a few shows there and the sound has always been dreadful to the point I’ve missed stuff I’d otherwise go to.

I wasn't sure how her performance was going to be. I thought it could have been very good or very bad. I thought it was glorious.

I think she may be mad as a box of frogs but she is magnificent.
She clearly is that. That's what I look for in my wimen tho so that's a bonus.

I thought taking back Sunday were better.

Matt Skiba came out dressed like Rick from the young ones.
I thought Taking Back Sunday were better received than Alkaline..the young'uns round me sung their hearts out to every song..thought Alkaline were good but i was a bit disappointed that they only played for an hour..coming onstage at almost ten o clock was ridiculous anarl..they never played Stupid Kid..This Addiction or Mr Chainsaw which i love either.

I'm not totally sure of the running order but I have tickets for .............
Red Rum Club
Ian Prowse and Amsterdam with support from Swill Odgers
Elvis Costello and the Imposters with support from Ian Prowse

I may well add Ian McNabb and Pillow Queens to that list

Then in August
Skinny Lister at Cottingham Folk Festival

I know the title of the thread is 'forthcoming gigs' but I saw Wolf Alice in Shiney Sheffield last neet.

I've been mightily impressed with the studio work and live pieces I've seen on YouTube but this was something else.

Sound, light and most importantly performance were all top drawer.

I can't believe superstardom isn't beckoning for this lot

Off to see Emma Jane Thackeray at the Sage later.
Saw her on Jools Holland last year and thought she seemed different to many solo artists.
Just saw that she is also going to appear at Glastonbury later this year. Think the audience will be different tonight...
