Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

I'm not doing anything of the kind. I am pointing out that he is right. It is not being widely reported.
Because it’s a small issue in the grand scheme of things. It’s reported every hour. I’d rather here about the breaking news rather than keep hearing a few militia were being tits on the polish border.

I'm sure a couple of sledgehammers could take it out of service.

I think being an invading force when something goes wrong on this type of equipment then you’re fucked. Russia haven’t got any staging bases yet to do maintenance from. I’d imagine even basic parts for engines and things like tires are very unique to the vehicles so unless there is support vehicles nearby then they can’t fix them.

I also saw an expert saying the last thing you want to be is with stranded tanks etc… They will be a target, you will be a target and it can’t defend you it’s useless.

So they are just having to be abandoned.

It might change over time if Russia get a degree of stability and maintenance facilities.

Sunday he announced the nuclear alert being raised but apparently one of the generals in the video had been fired on the Saturday so who knows when it was actually filmed.
The one who looked like he’d seen his mrs with his best mate when putin mentioned nukes?

One thing that's struck me is how little we've seen of Ukranian tanks, AFVs, APCs, missile carriers etc which they supposedly have / had quite a few of. Most of the videos have been of small groups of soldiers popping off NLAWs and so on.

Have they lost all this equipment in the invasion by Russia, has it been pulled back into the cities for defensive purposes? Not suggesting there's anything nefarious going on but it's a bit odd.

I don't want to get in to an argument about it. There is no point, but people being denied refuge because of their race isn't a small issue in fair peoples minds. You can still hear and see the breaking news if you want, and other news, of which this is a part of. You don't need to call somebody an "arsehole" for calling out racism.
I may get pulled up again but it's almost as if two threads are required. One for people to post twitter etc breaking news and one for debate. Am not sure what the thread wants to be

He wasn’t calling out racism. He was slagging off the bbc for not giving it more coverage despite the fact they were and they’d actually invited him on to talk about it. They had to cut him off as he was being totally unreasonable but then with all that information provided to you and you not seeing any of it I’ll trust you’re right.
