I told my wife when it started that she was welcome to get any friends or family out to live here, I have a big house with five bedrooms and four ensuites so could easily have took 10 people or so. She said that she wouldn't be able to get anyone into the UK because of visas.

My MIL has a 5 year visa and she is entitled to stay six months of the year. Obviously at this stage we don't know when Kiev is safe to go back but she's worried this government will kick her out the country. I've told her not to worry about that as it won't happen but if so we'll have to go and rent somewhere in Ireland for a few months. Disgusting thought really.

The fact that that’s even a thought right now is utterly disgusting. I hope they sort it soon mate to give her some piece of mind.

I’ve just googled how I can host a Ukrainian family but there’s fuck all info. It’s all about Ukrainians here bringing their family over.
