I made the mistake of watching it for 10 minutes the other day before it was removed. Absolute bat shit channel. Made GBeebies look balanced

I agree with the sentiment though. None of the soldiers want to be there and that's why theyre seemingly surrendering/giving up so easily (outside of the elite squads who will fight to the death of course)

It was on a news channel but I’m guessing it was an unconfirmed report and has since been disproven as it’s not reported elsewhere.
 
What are the main vehicles in the column? If they mainly armoured transport rather than tanks it may be better to let them advance, suck them in, and then destroy them with anti tank weapons.

Can see where you’re coming from but he’s been fighting in the east of Ukraine for years now, if he was going to be happy having that bit of it why then a full on invasion of Kiev, etc? Can’t see how giving him the east would appease him now unless he has a lucid moment and realises that’s his best chance of withdrawal and surviving?
I just can’t see how this will end in a good way, best case is he takes Ukraine and there’s running battles for years….not exactly something to look forward to.

when it first kicked off there was a picture and short video of 2 captured russians posted on here. one looked mid 20's and the other a teenager. that affected me more than i ever thought.
i'm not ashamed to say i wept and still wonder about their fate. even at the match at wigan on saturday it was always there in the back of my mind. it feels quite surreal. i remember the protect and survive campaign and all that carry on when i was younger but the present day seems more of a real threat.
i just hope these talks can stop more killing.

Yup same here, the bairn wanted to know why I was nigh on hysterical-id just seen the pictures of those nigh on children in uniforms and instantly imagined what could happen to them 😪😭

Maybe some people think calling him a dictator is just an adjective to make a point and don’t realise the Russians literally don’t have any say in running their country?

If he does what you suggest he weakens himself so much that he loses his power and that’s what he wants power.

He’s against a tough and determined enemy who won’t give up.

In theory he can’t win because the kids that have been sent off some will be back those that have lost families will be back.

He’s creating hate and resistance along the way.

Agreed Putin doesn't want just that. But that's where you'd expect a compromise might be possible. I hope there is a way to de-escalate peacefully.

He could see it as saving face if the crimea and Donetsk regions are officially handed over and Ukraine agrees to permanently unblock the damn that provides water the crimea.

Doubt he’d accept that mind cos he’s f***ing mental.
