You still up for a beer with your Russian marras? From Page 615Me too, your average Russian everyday.
When you stand for nothing, you lay down for everything.Read back a bit Harry, I’ve already answered that….it’s not comparable, it’s an event that hasn’t happened. I have no idea how I’d react. All I know is I wouldn’t want any of my loved ones injured or killed so if there was a way that can be avoided then I’d be up for exploring it. War is pointless. Absolutely pointless.
We’re humans, the majority of decisions made are based on emotions. In the last few posts people are saying about being choked seeing pictures of fathers saying goodbye to kids, etc….what for? To fight in war that more than likely can’t be won. My question is, is it worth it? Is the loss of life and destruction worth it?
My stance is coming from taking emotions out of it, once you get emotional about it then we’re prone to act/react in ways that aren’t necessarily the best.
The idea solution would have been for the Ukrainian and Russian governments to go to a great big clearing in Siberia and slug it out themselves. Leave the innocent Ukrainian and Russian folk out of it.
Ukraine wanted to be in the EU for a long time but weren’t allowed, corruption being one of the reasons. Both governments aren’t exactly great….to draw innocents into a pointless war is abhorrent.
Just about every poster who is calling for action, to stand up to Putin is acting on emotions, emotions of what they’re seeing and it’s completely understandable, it’s horrific. It goes up all sorts of unjust, uncomfortable feelings of wanting to fight back. Sometimes though, the sensible thing to do to win a war is to give away a battle and fight another day in a different way.

I don't think that's anything to do with it to be fair.It will be to do when it’s due to be played the world might be expected to be back to “normal” by then.
The evidence is there, when he first invaded civilian weren’t targeted, very few military were killed. Fact. As soon as war escalates then civilians get killed. Fact.Is this a serious post? WTF!
Said like a person who has no idea of war or combatIf you don’t fight back they don’t kill you. Simple as.
We will just have to wait and see if they compete in the future, it’s very much everything to do what’s going on day by dayI don't think that's anything to do with it to be fair.
Erm, yeah, why wouldn’t I be? What’s your point here? You still up for a beer with your Russian marras? From Page 615

As brave as the Ukranians in some ways
No Russian should suffer unprovoked attacks in this countryI do understand what you're saying, but I think we can and should be better than that. The nuance is important. I don't think it's fair to say that people on here who are essentially just taking an anti-killing stance, are in some way sympathetic to the destruction and bloodshed of the Russian army. It's more that we don't want anyone dead on either side, except maybe the people who are behind this whole sorry mess.
It's also totally possible to wish an end to the conflict, so no more bloodshed, but the individual Russian soldiers and commanders who committed the most terrible of acts to be tried in the Hague for war crimes.
I read an article on the BBC today about how some of the British-Russian community fear repercussions in this country. That, again, comes from a lack of critical understanding of the situation. People assume that one awful leader, with power and influence, speaks for everyone. When I think the protests and social media posts show that the Russian people are not in support of this war, particularly the communities who live outside of the community.

Respectfully I disagree. Not to ban them from the Euros would make UEFA look like they don't think women's football is as important. Obviously on many levels it really isn't, but on this issue it should be one rule across the board. We will just have to wait and see if they compete in the future, it’s very much everything to do what’s going on day by day
I’m loving this like, because I’m taking an anti war stance and don’t want this to escalate and can see that was other ways of dealing with this and agreed with what the US fella said I’m getting pelters from the SMB numbskulls who have played a game of Risk and now know everythingSaid like a person who has no idea of war or combat

So let tanks roll into your town square and the boot out your democratically elected leaders? Not for me. If someone started taking the piss out of your missus would you let them have a pop without saying anything? I think your stance is utterly barmy. You’re just being obstinate for the sake of to now Harry, you know exactly what I mean….sanctions and shit
Tiresome. Read the subsequent postsSilly comment. Try telling that to the families of all the civilians murdered already.
