Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

It baffles me how Putin expects Ukraine to be governed once he's replaced the current government with his own puppets. Wrecking the capital city and killing a fair chunk of its residents isn't going to win many hearts and minds.

If his new President manages to avoid being assassinated they'll have to keep 40 million radged up Ukrainians in check who'll have plenty of weapons, it'll be like Afghanistan on steroids. Putin will need to keep his entire army there permanently to do this, so it's going to be a severe burden on an already crippled Russian economy and will cost countless Russian lives.

This isn't what he expected and I'd be looking for a quick way out of this shit-show without losing face if I was him, I hope for everyone's sake that one can be found.
He could go full on dictator if he balls up. He's been made to look a weak, paranoid lying bully on a global stage.
Ukraines leader on the other hand has came across as I've said before a man of the people rambo

The rest of the world has seen him for what he is, hopefully the penny will drop with the people in Russia. They're the best hope of getting rid of him.

Even just the sanctions in place wont be lifted in his lifetime. He's fucked his country up

In my opinion if Russia had just stuck to its original "free small area of Eastern Ukraine" this would have been over and done with by now. Instead they got ambitious and tried for a full invasion allowing the world to get its arse into gear.
He has fucked up on so many levels. He hasn't just galvanised the west. He has galvanised the entire planet apart from a few countries. The world has shown him there is no appetite for war and it won't sit by while a rogue state tries it on.

He has made Russia look weak, he has made himself look week. He simply will never be able to govern in the same was ever again.

He is done.

I have said all along China will be watching how we react. We have shown them what collectively will happen quite well I think.

The issue is who is going to tell him?

She knows her stuff, and Russian owned tycoons have been chasing her for years.

Yes it involves Brexit and the 2016 elections, because they're very obviously a part of all this, but if you're still in denial about Russian participation within that, trigger warning.

China want to rule financially, putin is in a corner that much now he’s got nothing left, the threat of nuclear attacks is his last line of defence in reality he knows Russia will be wiped out before he can do damage to the word leading his generals and higher ups wondering what to do.

The people of Russia don’t want to die due to putin and these war protests are getting bigger and bigger 5000 arrests so far and that’s a tiny percentage of who’s protesting.

He’s not even got total control of the majority of Ukraine to barter with.
Interest rates in Russia hit 20% what’s 20% of fuck all.

They might as well rejoin the USSR for all the independence they’re showing.

That thing you see when Putin opens his mouth is the top of Lukashenko’s head. Disgraceful, providing a new platform for nukes in the middle of a war zone.
They will probably have to. It will be their only lifeline once the sanctions hit them as well.
