Potentially this is a lot bigger than locking the Russians out of Swift

Russia has huge foreign currency reserves which it's central bank can use to stop the rouble from collapsing

if they are banned from using those reserves the rouble will lose most of it's value very quickly. This means capital controls in Russian, huge hikes in interest rates. Big stuff

There also used to be a nuclear bunker at the top of the ice rink car park in Durham city (where the new council building is). My old headmaster was in the ROC royal observer corps who were stationed there.

Seem to recall County Hall having a mysterious underground "bunker". One old timer I worked with had been allowed in for a look decades ago. Can't remember what she said about it

Two sides needed to play a game of football and where are they going to find a neutral ground and with effectively no flights in or out of Russia how will they get there
