Nothing at all, he’s stretched now he has his special forces and elite soldiers for back up.

If he stretches the front he will weaken like the Germans did.

He also won’t fire a nuke at a nato country as he will get powerful shots back wiping out his own people
Which he won’t do.

In reality this is looking like it could be no one coming out better. Putin will still have strong Russian support.

Remember tue media will Show you what they want you to see nothing more nothing else.

Anyhow that's my recollection of the Falklands War and I knew nothing whatsoever about Article 5 then but as has been said it is/was/would be moot re: The Falklands because of geography and it was indeed 40 years ago, 40 ferking years man..!!

it was rumoured that the US were prepared to offer us the loan of a USMC carrier should anything have happened to one of ours

NATO forces also picked up our commitments in the North Atlantic (and elsewhere) which enabled us to use more ships in the taskforce

Getting involved is troops on ground. Air cover, etc. Direct military intervention. During Cold War US and Soviets would routinely supply support or hardware to 'their' side e.g. Soviets in Vietnam. US in Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

It's the start but maybe becomes Second Cold War after Ukraine. Certainly looks like a second Iron Curtain will be established.

That’s not true though. There’s countries like Belarus openly backing it and there’ll be even more secretly. There’s huge support for Russian in the US

Then look at the number of apologists on here. We’ve got one poster whose entire contribution to the tread is that Ukraine deserve it because of some racism that he imagines had tad taken place (conveniently ignoring the fact he’s siding with fuxking Russia of all places)

Sadly there’s a baffling significant swell of support for Russia, just like there is for Israel
