Johnson filmed in front of a Galaxy transport last night for TV.

In the early hours of the morning a Galaxy transport near the Ukrainian border was told to abort mission and return to base.

The Ukrainian government is officially asking people to come and fight.

I would be there if it wasn’t for my wife and 3 children who rely on me. If I was single with no ties then it would be a different story. I would be shitting myself of course.

Hopefully one day soon I can do that. Even if Putin wins all the battles he has already lost. Not a chance Ukrainians will allow a puppet government to rule them.

I don't see the end game here for Russia. They more than likely win in the end at a huge cost but this isn't the boardgame Risk. There'll just install a puppet regime which 40m hate and will be a nation full of weapons who will uprise again. You can't just think that's the end of it.

Massive strategic era by Putin, if he wanted Ukraine onside he should have offered them honey, not vinegar.

Same as the Eurovision thing. Seems trivial and minor but it’s something that’ll massage his ego. Losing the champions league and F1 will hurt too - same as Mazepin likely losing his F1 drive because his dad is close to Putin.

It’s often the smallest things that do most damage in the long run, its why referring to them as token gestures is just stupid, they all add up

To be fair they take Eurovision pretty serious. They refused to enter when Ukraine won a few years back.

I think the Germans were caught by surprise that Putin actually went for it. Promising more spending on national security. I reckon a few more NATO members will be hitting the 2% mark now.

I've been reading that the Russians had restricted the use of the Ukrainian UCAV using some blocking systems but now the Ukrainians have them up and running again. That's huge if accurate.

I think it’s asking awful lot of any civilians to do that but civilians who may have no link to the Ukraine other than employment or study shouldn’t be “ conscripted”.

Sadly this is a war.

The Ukrainian government's priority is the protection of its land and citizens.

Foreigners don't have to fight if they don't want to - but they are the responsibility of their respective governments.
