Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

It wasn't meant to be a serious comment. I did say 'we can't'. Everyone has a say and that's how it should stay.
I do however object to unscrupulous politicians who feed the less well informed with blatant lies and a press who do the same in order to manipulate large swathes of the public. Politicians can basically say anything in a campaign truthful or not. We have rules about lying in advertising campaigns. Elections should be no different.
In Finland they teach children critical appraisal skills and how to spot fake news and lies in the media. We are so far behind but there's a reason for that.

Every country will have something to envy, that doesn't mean the UK is crap.

It is because all of the politics forum is only open to logged on members. Happy to have the thread moved onto this board. I just think the discussion needs the widest audience possible.
I'm not bothered where it is, but there should only be one thread. The one on the Politics forum has been a good source of up to date information of what is going on. Better than the news channels. I don't think it should be diluted by having a second thread on here.

Seen a live video of a couple of lads from uk currently driving to Ukraine to allegedly offer their help!

The toughness, defiance and sheer bravery of the Ukrainian people is everything Putin wishes that his russia could be, he should be embarrassed the way this is going.

Old picture though, been discussed earlier in thread.
