Sorry but you are talking utter bollocks, they have provided weapons and money to help them fight. My Nephew has also been flown a way from home to the east to help with these supply lines I will tell him he is not doing his bit though, it’s not all about visas there is a bigger picture. On the visas they are not doing ENOUGH but to say not doing their bit is massively arrogant and a massive insult to those young lads and lasses who are away from home. How do you think the supplies will get to the border?
I never mentioned weapons or supply lines and I certainly wouldn’t ever dismiss those who are doing what your nephew is doing.

BUT sometimes it’s best to read a post in the context of the one being replied to. Because I only meant we weren’t doing our bit in relation to the visas, absolutely nothing else, because the post I was replying to said “I hope we are doing our bit” in relation to visas, and how easy or difficult this country were making for people to come here. And you say your self we aren’t doing enough so in that context I’m not sure not sure how I was talking bollocks.

Maybe be more clear in your postings to make them less ambiguous to many. Unless they are designed to get people biting.

My view is that this war has occurred not in a vacuum but as a byproduct of the geopolitics of the last 20 years, the flow of this thread is basically one way in condemnation of Russia, whichever way this topic would be going, I would be trying to drop in nuance and counter points to help people engage in the more interesting elements of the topic. It’s easy to pat each other on the back and enjoy a pile-on, It can be tough when your views are challenged. I’m not trying to piss anybody off, I’m trying to engage myself and others in broader thinking.

How come your not lauding anything positive the government has done regarding this situation?

It's as if your just waiting for anything negative to spout your bias...

Anyone would think your a paid up member of a political party to throw in your negative views.

I’m not a paid up member of any party.

Then il hold my hands up and apologise if that’s the cause but it came across as the uk are not doing enough in general when I say we are. The weapons we have supplied have no doubt been a massive help to those on the frontline those fighting for those who are looking for security

Too many people on here care about what side they are on in the Uk rather than what’s going on in Ukraine

I feel the left and right in this thread are still making it about the left and right

And not what is right and wrong.

The countries that are the safest to get to quickly should be the ones that take the people in.

The others should help supply the lines of those fighting. This isn’t Uk or EU it’s nato in an escalating conflict

In an ideal world I would have each and everyone back here right now but that’s not the case.
Yes but you can burry them in mud, sand, sawdust etc and they'll still fire..
Very cheap to make cheap to repair perfect for what they are being used for.

I knew it was named after the Soviet politician-no idea it was the Finn's who invented them. Obviously effective for them
The best sniper ever was also Finnish from that war against russia.

Nicknamed "White Death," Simo Häyhä tallied 505 kills, far and away the highest count from any major war. All of Häyhä's kills of Red Army combatants were accomplished in fewer than 100 days – an average of just over five kills per day – at a time of year with very few daylight hours. He was wounded late in the war when an explosive bullet shot by a Soviet soldier took off his lower left jaw. He lived a long life, however, dying in a veterans nursing home in 2002 at the age of 96.

When asked if he regretted killing so many people he replied, "I only did my duty, and what I was told to do, as well as I could."

How is she talking utter bollocks? Janey was replying to a post specifically about accepting refugees that had originally stemmed from the tweet about Polish accepting them that she'd posted.

I think your post is a bit of an insult to Janey to jump on someone in that way you have but I guess we'll all see by your reply what you think about it.
