If the Turkish do blockade the Dardanelles Strait to the Russians, that is truly a potentially nasty escalation point. Only takes one fuckwit of a Russian sailor to fire on a Turkish ship and things really kick off.

It would change everything, article 5 of the NATO charter could be invoked.

Given the demands Putin is making even for talks (Ukraine to put guns down and basically completely disarm) cannot see it being likely until something big happens for either side.

Don’t know much about him as a politician. He could be a right wing leader in the vein of the Tory party for all I know but no one can deny he has led his country like a hero in there time of need, not many Primeministers or Presidents would do the same.
