Yeah but think they were only small scale he could have controlled the situation quickly his generals heads will roll
I also think they thought the cannon fodder would have enough to see of the resistance. Again, it shows they've underestimated them. I'm not sure of numbers they have of Spetsnaz, but I'm quite surprised there isn't more of them on the streets after 3 days. Remember, the leveled Grozny in days, but fighting continued for years.

Aye think putin was on a short timescale here fact is we now have more boots in Estonia Poland etc supplying Ukraine keeping them fed and supplied. If we actually wanted to do more we should damage Belarus financially and hit them hard also make Belarus a no fly zone etc.

See my previous post - Russia is a leader in cyberattacks and social media manipulation. It’s the one thing they’ve demonstrated proficiency at over the last 10-12 years yet here he’s been completely outflanked and I’m really surprised at how badly he’s doing.
I think the hope now mate has to be that his (Putin) own people will take him down. This was supposed to a quick shock and awe attack and it's failing. Ultimately we know their might and power will win militarily if allowed to continue, but for now, the dignity and strength of Zelensky, his army and Ukrainian people, it's winning the world over and we'll reach the point where if Putin personally isn't stopped, he'll lash out outside of Ukraine I reckon, might be cyber, might be threats, god forbid it might be something more, but before long the way the world is turning against him, he will lash out if he isn't stopped and this will become less about Putin and Russia, and more about those beneath Putin and the people of Russia stopping this madness. Russia is fast becoming an international pariah.

I will say though, I've woke up this morning feeling genuinely humbled by Zelensky and the response of Ukraine to this aggression.

Got boots in Lithuania also. Putin most definitely expected this to be quick and easy

Heart warming to see some other European countries have woken up and got their fingers out their arse to help. Fair play to the people of Ukraine, zero fucks given they are giving it their all. Be interesting to see how this goes soon as surely the Russian fighters will be hungry?

The West are sending a lot of advanced anti tank and anti air weapons now. 200 stingers alone from Netherlands today. 200 others were just delivered

It's what is needed. Good to see some stepping up. Support Ukraine and box Russia in with feet in the ground in bordering NATO countries... On top of the sanctions that seems the best course of action at present. Merely my opinion but it seems Putin has judged this appallingly/underestimated.

This rotten government would turn back the kindertransport man. Wankers.
They did their very best to stop it's modern day equivalent. Voted against the Dubs amendment but we're defeated in the Lord's. Ultimately got through but the government closed it down by capping the numbers at 480 after which it ended.
Why do they have such inhumane policies? They simply go with what their base want in order to retain power. It's the people who vote for them who are really to blame.

I'm starting to wonder if Putin actually believed the shite he spouted. Did he actually believe that the Ukrainian people wanted "liberation " from the western facing leaders? Was he so surrounded by yes men telling him what he wanted to hear he thought the Ukrainian people would welcome Russian troops?
If so, the deluded fckers just got a shock

Great stuff from the Polish National Football team. Hope UEFA and FIFA back them up. The response of those organisations will be interesting.
Uefa will be fine they have already stripped them of the champions League. FIFA different breed.... One of the top FIFA fellas has a close relationship with Putin and was given some sort of award by Putin a while back. When asked if he was going to give it up/hand it back he dodged answering the question.
