Exactly. My mate who's telling us what his colleague is up to works for a software company. I think the lad headed to Kyiv is a developer. He'll be used to spending his days sat at a desk not handling a rifle.

Arm sales treaties will stop a few countries from providing weapons. For instance, that's why Germany objected to Estonia selling on weapons it had bought from them.

Catch 22 do nothing and Putin does what he want, sanctions do nothing, send troops and let’s all hope we have some bunker 100 feet under the ground to head to as this loon would not think twice about pressing the button. Scary times. This ain’t no Cold War.

They are war crimes. Killing innocent civilians. The world is watching. Who would have thought we`d be seeing this in this day and age.

To be honest I don’t think our nuclear presence is much of a deterrent, being part of NATO is. I’ve always been far from convinced we’d use it and if we did there’s an argument it would be essentially out of spite. I don’t think it’ll ever be scrapped entirely though.

They’re a massive threat like, with all of their wheat and zero nuclear weapons… The grounds for invasion included “de-nazification”, the Ukrainian president is Jewish and had members of his family die in the Holocaust. Anything that Putin says is propaganda and should be considered to be as valid as the opinions of Kim Jong-Un, Trump and Chemical f*cking Ali

Russia didn’t want this though, they wanted to be largely fighting the Ukrainian defences in the fields and villages of Eastern Ukraine where they could take out large numbers with overwhelming artillery and missile power. Rolling into cities for close combat and at the mercy of ambush attacks was perceived to be Ukraine’s best chance of causing them massive damage.

Hard to tell much though as their seems to be a tacit agreement on social media to respect Ukraine’s request to not share Ukrainian movements.

makes the most sense for Ukraine to take the fighting into the cities, renders the tanks much less effective.
