Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

What about Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia? Aren’t they part of nato and already border Russia.

What makes Ukraine different?
Just been thinking about this. The only NATO countries with a border to Russia are Latvia and Estonia. Lithuania has no border with Russia. Poland does not have a border to Russia but the pro-Russian Belarus does. The Balkan states border is comparatively small. Ukraine has by far the biggest border with Russia. Finland to the North is a neutral non NATO state. Ukraine will clearly be the biggest fear for Russia. I was just reading Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall last night and it covers the Russian/Ukraine/Crimean issue very well and explains the underlying issues. One of the things it mentions a fair bit is Russia`s fears of the Ukraine joining NATO. It actually says that this is a very clear red line that Putin would not tolerate. Quite prophetic.

definitely won't post but just seen an image of a Russian corpse who'd had his arm crushed by the tracks of an armoured vehicle...

he'll be someone's son, husband, brother who no doubt didn't really have much of an idea why he was there.

Nobody gives a fuck about Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen.
Some of us do.

Hopefully his family protest against Putin and try and vote him out then. Alternatively they may think he is a martyr for the motherland. Hopefully the former.

Quite a few reports that Russians, wearing Ukrainian uniforms and driving captured Ukrainian vehicles have been collared outside of Kiev.

Obviously could be propaganda but if that’s proven to be true, isn’t that another war crime ticked off by Putin?

There was an oligarch meeting yesterday & they were talking about crypto currencies. Now, I'm not an expert on crypto but if it tanks they might turn against Putin.

Don’t want to post the video but a Russian tank intentionally ran over a civilian car, the driver miraculously escaped without alive but with injuries. On here there was also the video of the fighter jet bombing a residential area. Targeting civilians is a war crime, no? I have a feeling this will escalate rapidly when more of these crimes emerge. One of the only times I’m grateful for social media is the real time display of these bastard animals showing their true colours.

saw an interview yesterday with an injured russian prisoner who was saying the he expected to be welcomed as saviours etc... that's the sort of propaganda they're filling these kids heads with
