Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

Dunno why everyone's freaking out over Chernobyl as if it would somehow be worse when there's ten or so working nuclear reactors in Ukraine which don't get a mention.

When the Chernobyl incident happened the radiation cloud first drifted over Ukraine, Belarus and...Russia. Breaking open the sarcophagus and shelling it or whatever mad plan people think they have would be a bit like shooting yourself in the head and hoping the bullet passes through and hits the fella next to you.
Funny, I mentioned if you have storm Arwen winds or a arctic blast heading north east the Ukrainians should bomb the hell out of it leaving Belarus and Russia right in the line of sight

I get it would wipe out hundreds of thousands also around the world but pie in the sky it would stick a massive two fingers up putins fat arse

Was thinking the same. Also all these sanctions on russia ( not saying should not be any) will hurt their ordinary people. Could well rally them behind Putin rather than against him and start a hatred of the west.
I’m annoyed that we’re comparing this but we strangled the Nazi party with sanctions and they thought it was better to invade and take what they want rather than back down

A very small price to pay to get nearer to a conclusion of what is still effectively the Cold War, however this time the Russians have lit a match rather than threatening to start a fire
For $105 a barrel the price should be nowhere near 1.70 though, the likes of BP been keeping the prices inflated for months now. The supermarkets have also stopped discounting.

Taking Chernobyl gives the Russians an area safe from attack.
