The escalation if it happens will be immediate

I read the news early this morning and hoped it wasn’t true. As the day has progressed, I’ve made peace with what’s happened and think a strong response is the only decision to make. I just hope if it happens, then the innocents count is minimal.
If we don’t, then the harm to people is much longer and drawn out.

Horrible situation.
 
They carry 35-40 troops. I won’t celebrate as that seems macabre but less Russian forces to potentially kill innocent Ukrainians

BBC five live had an interview today with a retired general (American I think) who was saying a large number of Russian soldiers in the Ukraine are conscripts and that their professional troops are being held back.
 
I said Russia own Kaliningrad... But it's in Lithuania which is not in Russia.

no, its in Russia, and before that it was part of Germany (East Prussia)

are you thinking of Memel, which was Lithuanian, then taken by Germany, then returned to Lithuania?
