Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

I’d happily cheer the death of someone whose presence meant unprovoked violence, destruction, oppression and death.

The Russians aren’t a peacekeeping force. They’re violent oppressors.

I totally get they’re just following orders. I totally get they’re conscripted. I totally get they may have no choice.

But they still bring death, destruction and oppression, and the only way to stop them is to kill them. They are the aggressors. Not Ukraine.
"The Russians", it isn't a country that decides to go to war. It is a handful of people at the top. Do you think that these young lads want to risk their lives in gunfire, or would they rather be at home with their friends and families? They are there because someone far more powerful told them to be there. Why not direct your anger towards them? Cheering their deaths like it's sport is disgusting.

You seriously expect us to tune into Russian State TV for objective coverage of the Russian invasion of Ukraine?

People like you are the reason packets of peanuts have a "may contain nuts" warning.
dont take all your info from western sources , we poked the russian bear and now must pay the price

@FC United of Manchester

That’s why
So the more killed the better for you then. You must be hoping and praying that any economic sanctions do no good in stopping them or that Ukrainian soldiers don’t force them to retreat as that would deny your blood lust.

The people giving the orders are the ones that need to die but in the name of defence, the Russian soldiers need to die in these battles too unfortunately, you can’t just let them win.

Absolutely agree, but the soldiers will carry out their orders. That’s their job. I appreciate some are more or less forced, but that doesn’t make the Ukrainian people any safer.

If there was a peaceful solution, then that’s brilliant. That’s the best outcome.

FFS man, they are fathers and sons with families doing the job they have been ordered to. I’m appalled at Putin but it doesn’t mean I want to see Russian soldiers lose their lives because of his lunacy any more than I want too see Ukrainians lose theirs.

It's not a tickling contest.

On one hand I feel for those Russians who will die and leave heartbroken parents, kids and wives behind but on the other hand I want to see Russian aggression punished and for the casualties to pile up.

Blood lust, give ower with your far left Corbyn worshipping tosh.

Are the Russians there for a nice chat or are they there to oppress the Ukrainian people?

Do you think Putin gives a fuck about casualties of common soliders? Or Boris would care if we died, or Biden with Americans? Or the Ukrainian leader truly cares about their people? All they care about is their money and their power. Removing those is their only "punishment". If we can do that without death then that is far better then anyone dying.

With an economy the size of Canada's and military spending about equal with the UK or France, a protracted conflict with economic sanctions biting hard this could turn out to be the downfall of Russia.

Worth looking at the thread. 450 people arrested for protesting
I'm nee expert on war or military but is it usual for National Guards to go into other countries? There's a lot of pictures of them in Ukraine.
