Do you mean military assistance?I see absolutely no reason why NATO collectively should not be helping defend Ukraine.
I appreciate this is invoking Godwin’s law but considering Putin is the second man since Hitler to wage war against a fellow European nation I think the comparison is just - letting him get away with this is just Appeasement V2.
We cannot stand idly by and let Ukraine fall. If we do, China will see there’s absolutely nothing stopping them taking Taiwan. Putin will set his sights on another country after Ukraine.
Have they ever applied to join NATO?And the only reason Ukraine weren’t in NATO is because we were scared it would upset Putin. That worked out well.
It's why Western troops won't get involved under any circumstances.Yeah the nukes are the main worry in my mind too
China and USA don’t like each other, not suprised in the slightest China is calling out USA on this. You must be logged on to see external links

Agreed mate. We can all be thankful he is not currently in the white house at this time.Trump is a narcissistic moron. He was in awe and a sycophant of Putin because he would have loved to have similar power to him in the USA.
Saying it wouldn't have happened with him in charge is like Simon Grayson saying he would be challenging Man City and Liverpool if he hadn't been sacked.
Always going to happen.
Aw I like that. Statements but no action.
Do we just keep putting statements out when he invades a new country?
Looking to pivot the axis of world power from a US-Centric one to a China/Russia one. Watch somnething happen in the South China sea in the next few weeksYou must be logged on to see external links

He’s not going to stop at Ukraine.Putin getting the Ukraine does not make the threat to us greater than it already is. It's not making him stronger.
I answered the intervention question in my last post. When NATO decide it's time, then it's time.
well someone of a higher pay grade needs to decide where the red line is
is Ukraine worth nuclear war
is Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia worth nuclear war
is it the rest of Eastern Europe
etc, etc
Firstly we don’t know if he will invade another country, there’s no reason why he would. Secondly, if nato say nothing then it’s not particularly a great sign. This way, it’s them saving face, accepting the reality that Ukraine is going back to Russia and it also saves the rest of the woods being drawn into a war where there really is no winners…nuclear. You do understand that don’t you? Any involvement or escalation from the west and it’s highly likely Russia will escalate as well.Aw I like that. Statements but no action.

That is slightly different as they're NATO countriesThe West May as well just pack up and go home then. If they will never confront him because of the nuke issue (And it is a huge issue) they we may as well just accept our Western role as submissive and let him retake the Baltic’s and anything else he fancies
Process started in 2008.Have they ever applied to join NATO?
Sky news have just shown a video of a Russian flag being raised in the same city.Haven't seen the buildup but this shows a bit more of aftermath as you see the turret in that pic at the end of this video. I hope it's OK given that it's blurred and I don't get a warning.
Tweet says "Ukrainian Army struck Russian forces in an area close to Kharkov. 1 tank and many armored vehicles were destroyed."

Boris is a charlatan, but Christ it was better than voting these lot in.Apparently the UK is 'indicating disdain for Russian concerns'
From 'Stop The War' press release today :
...Instead, the British government has sent arms to Ukraine and deployed further troops to Eastern Europe, moves which serve no purpose other than inflaming tensions and indicating disdain for Russian concerns.
It has also declared that Ukraine has a “sovereign right” to join NATO, when no such right exists to join it or any other military alliance.
Britain needs to change its policy, and start working for peace, not confrontation.
Stop the War believes that Russia and Ukraine should reach a diplomatic settlement of the tensions between them, on the basis of the Minsk-2 agreement already signed by both states.
It believes NATO should call a halt to its eastward expansion and commit to a new security deal for Europe which meets the needs of all states and peoples.
We refute the idea that NATO is a defensive alliance, and believe its record in Afghanistan, Yugoslavia and Libya over the last generation, not to mention the US-British attack on Iraq, clearly proves otherwise.
We support all efforts to reach new arms control agreements in Europe and to move towards nuclear disarmament across the continent.
We urge the entire anti-war movement to unite on the basis of challenging the British government’s aggressive posturing and direct its campaigning to that end above all.
