Basically from what Putin has said.. He intends on taking the entire Donbass region, the rebels only hold 20% of it, the Ukrainian army the rest.. The Russians are coming in and if the Ukrainians choose to fight then a fight's gonna happen.
The next question becomes how will it take, and does he have intentions outside of Donbas, those are questions we don't know yet.

I don't believe we should cower to what Putin wants because he's threatening nuclear war. Who next? Finland? I appreciate they're NATO and he may consider NATO untouchable.

Finland aren't NATO. They're 1 of the 2 neutral countries in Europe. The other 1 being Ireland.
Forgive me, but that reads as remarkably sympathetic towards Russia. Saying that "the Russians are coming and if the Ukrainians choose to fight then a fight's gonna happen" is almost like saying if you defend your home from being burgled, you're responsible for the violence...it's self-defence mate. This is an unprovoked attack on Ukraine, a sovereign nation, openly, by another state.

Finland is actually not NATO and is neutral, BUT has historically secured its sovereignty by demonstrating it can hold its own against Russia when the USSR tried to invade them in the 1930s.
The more you know. I just assumed they were. I guess Finland are fair game. Same question then, who next, Latvia?

The closest country is miles away geographically outside of Ukraine is not of interest. If Russia doesn't want Transinistra who the population consider themselves Russian it speaks volumes
Landlocked miles away from Russia bordered by 5 different NATO countries, they don't need to jump into bed with anyone.
