Your nose is in excellent working order. It’s piss easy to say he’s more than happy to sell. As long as he doesn’t let on how much for. It’s his right to do that but surely he doesn’t think we are stupid enough to swallow it. Oh hang on, yes, of course he does.Firstly it doesn’t say how much he’d want for them. Which suggests it won’t be a small amount despite the fact we’re in a worse state than we were when he “bought” the club using its own money.
Secondly if he was as happy to sell as he claims then KLD would have been able to buy them last year.
I smell another load of absolute bollocks being peddled by the Chuckle Brothers.
We are making a loss and at the moment KLD only has to fund 41% of the loss. Better than funding 100%. The others have to put in 59% of the loss. Can't see us breaking even any time soon. They'll sell their shares for less in the near future IMO.
If the kid wants the fans behind him then a good place to start would be to f**k methane off out of it. Largely cosmetic but very effective. So now we've got reports from both camps, a bit of guesswork on my part.
There's a division between the two camps. Both are now trying to force the others hand, Madrox to get more out of KLD, KLD to hope the fans are enough to force out Madrox.
It looks like there's been a huge fallout after the keane fiasco.
BUT the reason this doesn't really make sense is just last week KLD was seen schmoozing at the match with Methven. Again, this could've been Methven's plan, to be seen out, get the fans angry and force a buyout on his terms.
God knows![]()
He’s communicated in a way that we’ve not understood that’s 100% certain and I think that’s probably been intentional but has obviously been tied to NDA and other shareholders. I’d say the people who’d benefit from hiding this would be Moth and Donald Duck. Let’s see what the clarification tells us tonight and over the coming days I say then judge.Methven and Donald are clearly still a cancer within the club, and need cutting out.
They’re a pair of inept, lying, shitty winnets who have pure disdain for our club and supporters. Those that have backed or spoke out against our own fans for them, are stupid and/or lickspittles.
KLD has been silly, purposely misled our fans, and has rightly lost a massive amount of good faith. I’d like to think he still has genuine intentions to progress the club. Alas, keeping them around was always gonna turn out bad.
He needs to address the fans within the next few days of how things work with them all being involved, and what endgame is. And how he plans to move everything forward.
We’ll see what comes from this evening.
I know that RAWA haven’t been everyone’s cup of tea, but we should be grateful we have lads volunteering, who want what’s best for the club, and are so clued up.
I, and many others, were told a month ago they thought KLD only had 41%. Alas, without it being 100% fact, had to bide their time whilst people on here claiming to know it all, and arseholes like @Hep, shouting down anyone who were sceptical.
We have some very clued up supporters as part of these groups, and that is a good thing for our beloved club.
Most businesses have a business plan, be it a 5 year one or whatever, surely they have some sort of plan in place and a timeline of where they'd like to be and when (obviously no guarantees it will happen on schedule). Then there's the infrastructure, how they plan to maintain and develop that, the academy etc etc. Surely they can share a bit more detail of what that looks like but all we get is "the project" and "data led" and "sustainable football club". Yeah but how? What are you planning to do?The supporters deserve clarity. I think that it is incumbent on the owners to communicate clearly and often. They are - to borrow a phrase - only ever really custodians. The supporters deserve to know enough to understand what really motivates the owners, what it is that they actually want to achieve and how they propose to achieve it. From what I can see too many supporters at Sunderland dont have a handle on this those things. Whether that is the fault of the owners or not I wouldnt like to say, but it seems to me that some clear and transparent statements from the owners at this stage would certainly help.

I think most supporters understand that they can't expect to be in touch with what goes on on a day to day basis, but there needs to be some understanding at a high level of what the plans look like. As you say you have to assume that the people at the top have plans in place. I am not really on top of what has gone on before so I'm not throwing any blame around, but certainly from where I am sitting it looks like for whatever reason the relationship between owners and fans has broken or is breaking down. It needs sorting or it could get a bit ugly, particularly results on the pitch dont improve. Talk of boycotts and protests is never a good sign. I see that the 41% shareholder put a statement out very recently which might be a start but it also seems to leave some questions unanswered. Most businesses have a business plan, be it a 5 year one or whatever, surely they have some sort of plan in place and a timeline of where they'd like to be and when (obviously no guarantees it will happen on schedule). What I’d like to see from now going forward is for them to stop telling f**king lies. Most businesses have a business plan, be it a 5 year one or whatever, surely they have some sort of plan in place and a timeline of where they'd like to be and when (obviously no guarantees it will happen on schedule). As for KLD buying Madrox out, I can see why he wouldn't at this point in time due to them having to put in 59% of money required. However, as someone else said, buying out Methven would be cosmetic but highly effective, it would appease a lot of fans imo and at only 5% wouldn't cost too much. And hopefully a 5% increase in the obligation money in future wouldn't be too much hardship. Or why not get his brother Maurice to buy Methven out? No further expense for KLD, strengthens the family ownership and gets Methven out of the way.
He’s allowed himself to be taken for a ride imo, he’s been incredibly naive and badly advised.I’ve been told it is doubtful there ever was an NDA. Just those two scrotes protecting their interest/image. Wouldn’t surprise me if KLD wanted to release the information sooner.
This still wouldn’t absolve him from the complete mess.
He may well be a lot more complicit, but it’s hard to know without hearing more from him.
I think most supporters still can’t understand why he only bought 41%, AND thought it would be a good idea to be involved wouu to them at all.
This gets to the crux of it for me.
The deal was struck at the height of the pandemic so the split made a degree of sense at the time. The club would be difficult to value so it lowered KLD's exposure to risk since SD will have agreed to share the cost of certain liabilities. It also meant SD might make a few quid when things were looking up. Everyone's a winner.
That was then, this is now. It seems clear SD doesn't have funds he's willing to invest but he doesn't seem under financial pressure to sell. The simple analogy is if you owned 34% of a knackered classic car. You can sit tight because sooner or later the fella with 41% is going to get sick of it rotting on his drive. He'll have no choice but to get it restored while your share leaps up in value without you putting your hand in your pocket
My prediction is something to that effect will be shared tonight. Something like SD blocked work on the pitch in the summer. All the work that's been done on it the last 2 weeks will have been 100% funded by KLD.
It's probably bollocks and not that at all like. It seems far more plausible than KLD buying into the club to be a stooge though.
And they STILL try and look like martyrs!!
"voluntarily waived their right to be on the board".....SAID A SPOKESMAN FOR DONALD!
Were we on talksport long?
I heard a little bit from Simon Jordan asking why didn't KLD buy us outright from the start, using daddies money as he called it as its only going to cost him more money down the line if we go up.
££££££££ is what motivates the chuckle brothers. I don’t have an issue with business folk wanting to earn a crust. The problem comes through how these clowns actually purchased our club with the clubs own money, wrote off £20 milllion that they no longer wanted to put back into the club that they borrowed. The fact they lied about KLD being a takeover and selling off any assets that we’ve had. All of this has went on through a veil of ies.The supporters deserve clarity. I think that it is incumbent on the owners to communicate clearly and often. They are - to borrow a phrase - only ever really custodians. The supporters deserve to know enough to understand what really motivates the owners, what it is that they actually want to achieve and how they propose to achieve it. Losing to Charlton in the play off final was what screwed the chuckle brothers as they could no longer go ahead with their plan to flip us after a seasonUnder normal circumstances Jordan would be right. I do think the pandemic changes things though. Do we even know for sure how much KLD paid for his shares? If anything?
It's fair to assume Donald will have been up the creek if KLD hadn't turned up. He was essentially taking on a liability.
