Alex Neil is a fantastic manager & will definitely get you back to the championship in my opinion
Other than his last season with us he consistently over achieved , had us in & around the play off positions & for a club like ours with poor finances was some achievement
In his last season things didn’t work out probably due to the fact he couldn’t get the players he wanted in & as always our better players moved on
Anyway wish Sunderland & Alex all the best

Thanks for the feedback fella. I think on paper he looks the better choice. We’re just bitter it’s taken so long to Get here. It’s really impacted our season and my worry is that he only realistically has the playoffs to get us out of this shitty league.

He will do well to get this team in the play offs. we will should get right behind him and this young side who need us to stand any chance of going up. you do have to really question speakman and the board, whoever they are and if we fail this season huge questions need to be asked of them.

I actually prefer this appointment to Keane, my biggest gripe is the fact we could have appointed Neil on the Monday after sacking Johnson and the whole Keane farce has cost us 6 crucial points. Even though we didn't get Keane despite it being a done deal, all its done is expose the inept bluffers we have in charge of the club, so I don't think you got anything wrong at all mate.

Preston haven’t been in the top flight for 60 years, have been in the playoff places 3 times in the last 20 years, and have one of the lowest budgets in the division. What exactly did you expect him to do at Preston?

It’s a bit like saying that Sean Dyche has managed in the PL for the last 5 seasons and he’s never had them any higher than 7th.

I wasn’t a huge LJ fan, but he got pelters on here for having a similar record at an unfashionable Championship club. Neil also, despite being interviewed, never got offered a job at a bigger club.

Anyway, I’ll be getting behind him and giving him his chance. He did a decent job with young players at Norwich, but I think it’s a fairly uninspired appointment.
