you know you make a good point, it would be smarter, I mean, just because they send the renewal forms out, doesn't mean people need to renew right away, what may be a better idea, is to hold the renewals hostage, as in letting them make the moves in the transfer window on players, before they get supporters money, if they don't then, it will prove once and for all, what kind of ambition they have for the club if it wasn't clear already.
Exactly that , they have to show faith before we do , always the other way round . " Oh but we need your money to buy " ...frig off , borrow it, you'll get it back when we pile back in. Clever people these millionaires get us to finance their vanity project up front .

I tend to agree with this.
It’s difficult to apply common sense in the heat of despair, when it’s looking like we have blown another chance of going up,
but it’s a fact that if we end up with skint owners again then it definitely will be “tinpot til I die”
At last, a voice of reason.

So what was the last 1200 pages of this thread all about and why are people seething and talking about protest and calling for the current regime to fuck off?

To be replaced by who exactly?
There will be people with genuine bids for the club now that Ellis Short cleared a load of the debt off what did the bandits pay apart from fuck all.The problem is the robbers won’t go unless they make a killing. It’s a good valid question you just keep hoping it’ll happen that we shall overcome some day .

You may need to be reminded of that opinion in the next few weeks if and when the facts appear
What facts? I saw with my own eyes that little spiv sitting next to KLD and a few days later we are making the same disastrous mistakes we have since he arrived.

It doesn’t take a genius to work out what the real situation is. Unless you believe the “NDA” excuse about shares and why they can’t tell us.

I might start a new fanzine called “Tinpot til I die”

Bedsheets? Bouycoutt?!

Some precious fuckers on here mind. Demanding which players we sign, demanding which manager we appoint. What next, demanding who supplies the electricity?

Would you dare tell your neighbour what car he can park on his drive or what friends are allowed to visit them in the house they own?
People don't support their neighbours nor pay a lot of money every week for the privilege

Dunno man, LJ was sacked for not meeting targets (amongst other things apparently) and Speakman’s role is to identify and implement coaching staff is it not? Id say whoever is appointed that 2 weeks and 12 points dropped is a failure by any standards.
Johnson was sacked because he never wanted defoe & flogging off Flanagan behind he's back. Probably had a big argument with Speakman. Then Speakman sacked him

I don't care how 'Mag-esque' it is, I don't care how many sarcy comments people make, I'll just hit 'ignore' on them, I don't care how many people do a hilarious misspelling of boycott, and I don't care how many people claim that people who protest aren't 'true supporters'.

The club we love, and have spent our lives loving, has been taken over by leeches. Dishonest, incompetent chancers who have taken money out of the club, employed their mates and other assorted idiots, criticised the fans, put nothing back into the club, and delivered the four worst teams in our 143 year history. When the three original chancers were found out, they just went out, found another one, hid behind him, and pretended they sold the club - when all they had done was add another chancer to the mix.

They have taken the piss out of our loyalty, knowing that our fatal flaw is that, EVERY season since we have been in League One (apart from the season behind closed doors), we have had higher attendances than any other club has ever managed at this level. 38395 of us were there last Saturday. That's incredible. It should also be embarrassing for the owners.

The shambles of the managerial situation, and the non appointment of Roy Keane is a watershed moment. It was (rightly or naively) the last light at the end of the tunnel. It has just been switched off.

Already there are lots of individuals coming to the conclusion they have had enough. I completely understand it, and right now I feel that way myself. It will also change nothing.

The club we love will never progress until these people are gone. Supporters of clubs in far, far healthier positions than us have organised protests on various issues, and they have often worked.

It is way past time that we arranged a protest. I don't claim to know what that looks like, or how it would work. But this is now an existential crisis for the club, and it is way past time that as supporters, we fought back against it.
It’s not too complicated…you just keep your wallet in your pocket. There’s n need for hysterics…

I’d love to hear your theory on how a second rate PR man managed to convince a family full of billionaires to come and front a football club and act as his puppets.

5 years too late. Can’t see point now was massive need in the Moyes season and people wouldn’t have it. We are an irrelevance now we weren’t then

I don’t think he’s been in charge at all, that’s the point.

So he was lying when he said he had full control over board appointments, full control over all day-to-day and footballing matters, and that that was a non-negotiable element of the deal? Because that's what you're saying. You can't have it both ways.

I didn’t say he did any of that, you made that up.

I think it’s more likely Sartori convinced a young lad to make a relatively small investment in a football club, using some of his trust fund, because he is interested in the game.

He gets to show up and swan about while the spivs keep everyone off their back.

Mate it stinks that Methven is involved to me on the basis that he disrespected the fans and the north east and made political statements within an organisation playing on a coal mine - can’t stand him - but the indicators are that Donald has recently been diluted further. The facts we need to see are what power KLD has and what decision making power the other shareholders have. So let’s see what the facts are - but Donald is clearly not making the vast majority at least of day to day decisions about the football club. I’m not protesting over something that might be factually entirely wrong. It would be idiotic

Yes. I think he’s lying.

Seeing him in cahoots with Methven was enough for me to doubt anything he says.

You pay to watch football matches, you don’t pay to invest in shares or buy yourself a say in how the club is run. We all want what’s best for our club but we don’t all assume we can have a say in who comes and goes or who owns it.

This. I don't think it needs to be that far to be concerning though. Just having input and influence is concerning and needs to be brought to an end imo.
