Not Roy Keane

He doesn’t

Why is it all the clubs fault?

There's no room for nuance here. Everyone must be a goodie or a baddie. It's only nasty Speakman who has stopped our hero Roy from taking charge.

Oh wait. Roy Keane's already walked out on us once. He has apparently turned us down since, and has turned us down again.

Same thing with Dell/MSD and Donald. The 'canny lad' billionaires thwarted from leading us to the PL by Donald.

Oh wait. They're a bunch of sharks who have helped force Derby to the brink.

As always, in every story like this, there's nuance. Our mistake was not being firm enough. We gave Keane far too much time to make up his mind. But Keane's not helped us at all. He surely knew the structure of the club - if he didn't want the job, he could have let us know last week.

Well we will agree to disagree

If that was true it sums up why keane will never manage again

The majority of clubs in England go from crisis to crisis each year and most jobs available are those at the bottom

You’ll rarely get offered a job like Sunderland where you will be adored by so many fans

I can’t see him managing again now like

He’s in his comfort zone
It's a valid viewpoint mate, but if he felt he was going to be working with incompetent, unprofessional people, and doubted their commitment to him, he would have been a fool to take it.
Just my opinion, looking from way outside the know.

I think it proves he’s been talking utter bollocks about desperate to return to management like

And it proves he doesn’t wanna manage Sunderland
Or could it be that when it came to the final decision he was indeed very very serious about coming here, but just couldn't do it within the constraints or with the personell that he met during the process?

Remarkably yes! Although I'm not sure how I've differed from what I said originally

I know think I replied to the wrong post mate. I apologize

It just felt like this was gonna happen after how long it was taking...

The team kept losing which I'm sure didn't help the situation but back when he was on ITV giving all those smiles seemed like the time to offer the job. I doubt KLD is happy about this either. I can't think of any reason he wouldn't have wanted Roy.

Yeah I have no doubt

But you have to make comprimisew in football

He’s looking for a 100% perfect scenario that doesn’t exist

We needed him and he wouldn’t make that sacrifice

I repeat he hasn’t had a job in 13 years. This isn’t a man in demand. He won’t get a better offer

Even if it was methven doing the interview in nothing but his salmon pants.

As I say he won’t manage again

He’s clearly happy in sky

I don't blame Keane for walking away. It was blatantly obvious he relished the idea of returning however he's obviously sat back and looked at the situation: the players, the ownership, recent results etc and realised what an utter shit storm it is.

We will see... Any way if kean couldn't work with a dof set up. It feels like they could have ruled him out pretty quickly

I'm absolutely adamant that if Keane wanted the job he would have been in charge now. If one of the stipulations was they have to move here than that's fair enough imo. How can you expect players to commit to coming here when the manger won't. Keane had no bargaining power at all, if he was after better wages more cash to spend etc he needs to get in the real world and understand we are a league one club. Can't help but think he's used us a bit to try to help him get a better job. Considering the failures at his last few jobs it's staggering the reputation he has amongst our fans. Every passing day he's out of managemen he seems to be more highly thought of. He can frankly fuck off imo and get back to being angry on the tele. He's been wasting our time this past week

You need help. Stop defending anything the club does and ask yourself honestly if they are doing a good job.

This last week (last four years really) has been an unmitigated disaster and some simply refuse to see it.

I think he wanted his own way and spat his dummy out like last time , stick to being a pundit roy your better at that
