Not Roy Keane

if keane doesnt want to work to a structure, i mean, did he not know the club use a DOF in the first place?
He probably knew, but what he didn’t know was the glaring levels of incompetence on show.

It’s one thing working with such a model, but imagine adhering to it and working with individuals with such low competence.

not that we didn't know it anyway but just shows every single 'ITK' has been doing nothing more than attention seeking given this has apparently been a done deal for over a week now

He only wants it if the terms are right. Just like any other manager. Could never see him being happy answering to a DOF and 25 year old Chairman.

Tbf he'd have been naive if he thought he'd get the same level of control that he had under Quinny. Surely though he approached it knowing we had a DOF.. Maybe he just couldn't work with someone else's player choices and little input into the selection process.

No I don’t but at this time this was the chance he claimed he had wanted for years.
It is but its his last change if he fails thats him done.

SAFC had to give him a fighting chance to be successful.

Working with Speakman and Dodds? He has no chance and its no wonder he has walked away?

We are a joke.

People can clap McCann or whatever mediocre HC we appoint but not for me.

Keane learned from two of the best managers ever.. Full control throughout the club brought Cloughie and Fergie unlimited success, who knows where we could have been with him.

Managers who are capable of running the whole thing top to bottom are rare.

Keane didn't even appoint an assistant or bring in any scouts when he was here last time & did have control which is probably why so many of his signings were shite & never played. It's managers like that who've made Directors of Football a more attractive proposition to owners.

TBH I'm not bothered at all. Don't think Keane has any recent relevant experience and is basically yesterday's man, the same as Clough and probably Ferguson wouldn't be suited to managing a top club today. Fans chucking their toys out the pram - at least it saves us from watching Keane doing it in at some point in the future.

Me, I'll stick with S'land and just wait for rollercoaster to change direction.
It's been on the down for nearly 7 years mate....one hell of a big rollercoaster

He brought in Tony Loughlan

He said the contracts not contract , club wouldn’t pay for back room staff he wanted
If he was going to bring Tony (if thet was possible with his medical situation) he would have made sure his contract was right before his own. TL is proven at all levels and would have been an amazing appointment for the club.

I was probably more excited about geting TL at the club than Keane.

I have seen us relegated with the lowest amount of points in top flight history twice, I have seen us be relegated from the Premier League to League1 in consecutive years, I have seen us fail miserably trying to get promoted to the Championship for 4 years, I have seen Phil Parkinson as manager, I have seen us lose 6-0 in League1 and this is my low ever point as a fan.

It's not necessarily because Roy Keane isn't coming in but the whole f***ing situation. We are absolutely fucked as a club.
You know those cliched success/failure graphs you see on office walls on the telly? Ours is going to need a very, very long negative y axis.
If the current regime doesn‘t start to get things right, it could have a rather short x-axis…
